Marianne Thamm is a top-selling author, comedian and commentator-at-large. She has written several successful books, including Alison Botha's story I Have Life, which has been a constant best-seller and was used as the basis of a feature film, released in 2016. Marianne is known for her in-depth, off-beat journalism, for which she has received a number of awards. She is assistant editor at the leading South African online news source, the Daily Maverick. She lives in Newlands, Cape Town, with her partner of many years and their two daughters.
