      TAMMY HAD FAILED BY ONE question.

      Grinding her teeth, she kicked at the gravel walkway, sending pebbles into the ‘grhass’, as Catati called it. Catati tended to add h’s to ’most everything they said, it seemed.

      Mhiss Hendrhickson? asked her Catati friend Yakí.
