      YATORUN TRANSPORT

      THE ROOM KEELED, SENDING HER sprawling.

      "Atél! the captain barked. After a pause, he added, Report!" for her benefit.

      As if I couldn’t figure that out myself, muttered Tammy, hauling herself up. Brushing her coffee curls back, she grimaced, hobbling towards her station. Stretching her neck, she checked the readout. Fusion chamber compounds have been neutralized, sir! she called, hoping Commander Jajan didn’t notice her voice’s wobble. Her ankle didn’t hurt that bad.

      Intern Hendrickson! the Catati male snapped, mauve blood dripping from his right cheek ridge. Report to the infirmary immediately!
