Chapter One

Sasha and Jenn were both extremely excited about this vacation. They had been planning this for the past 4 months. This was going to be their first trip together as a couple. They were going to be volunteering at an eco camp that Sasha had gone to last year. Jenn was so excited she had made Sasha tell her stories from her trip last year every night for the past two weeks.

Jenn was not much of an outdoorsy girl and was certainly not much of a camper but was willing to try anything for Sasha. Besides Sasha told her all about the comfy yurts they set up last year as part of their volunteer duties. Sasha had set it up far enough in advance so that the girls would have one of the small yurts all to themselves. It was a little more pricey but they both thought it was worth it for two weeks on their own.

Both the girls were in great spirits as they stepped off the plane. After they collected their bags they walked out of the doors into the warm April sun. Jenn thought it was nice to finally get some fresh air and a little sun after the long winter they had. Almost immediately they spotted the sign for the shuttle that would take them to the campgrounds they were going to volunteer at.

There were a few guys huddled into a group all talking to a petite Asian girl that seemed to capture every one of their attention. As the girls walked over Jenn could tell that the Asian girl was obviously in the middle of a huge story. She was waving her hands around wildly and by the end of it she had all of the guys practically rolling on the ground laughing. Before the girls had a chance to say anything the girl turned to them with a huge grin on her face, held out her hand and introduced herself as Gabby.

The shuttle was waiting on one more plane that was not due to arrive for another half hour so they all found a spot in the shade, sat on the ground and began their introductions. It turned out that it would be most everyone’s first time to this eco camp before aside from Sasha. There was one other guy that said he was there last year but Sasha didn't recognize him. The girls agreed that everyone seemed pretty nice but Jenn was enthralled with Gabby's ability to command the attention of the whole group.

Finally it was announced that the last plane had arrived and the passengers should be coming out shortly. After another 15 minutes Jenn noticed two girls and a guy walking towards the group. Jenn heard Sasha let out a gasp and when she looked over at her girlfriend she saw that Sasha was almost ghost white. She wondered if it had something to do with the group that was walking up. Jenn took Sasha's hand in hers which seemed to bring some life back into her girlfriends cheeks.
