Chapter 1

The Escape

It was a mid September day in Ealing,London. Wiggins was staring out of the window looking down the street.

He could just make out a teenage girl

Carrying two black suitcases and wearing high heeled shoes. She was smiling and looked like a free spirit with not a fear in the world.

Wiggins lived at The Moullin Hostel a half way house for cats that needed homes.

He shared his space in the cage with Bunter. Wiggins had been dropped off about a week ago. He was about six months old and all black.

Bunter had showed up the following day, turned in by the local policeman or Bobby as they call them in London. Bunter was black and white with a cool confident face.

What are you looking at Wiggins? Bunter meowed.

That girl meowed Wiggins

She looks like she is going to the student house across the road meowed Bunter.

I hope I have an owner like that one day meowed Wiggins.

Keep dreaming meowed Bunter.

They both felt like they had been at the hostel for weeks.
