Behind the Smoke and Perfume is a story about a young girl that gets mixed up with the mob, because of her Ex. She must find a way to survive after being taken prisoner by a rival mob.
I Dunnit is a short story about a schizophrenic woman who is trying to solve the cold case of her dead husband.
Isby and the Haunted Estate is about a kid that is visited by a ghost. The ghost leads her to where she died. Isby follows the trail to find out what happened to the girl. She is terrified when she discovers the truth.
Kendra Beauchesne
Kendra Beauchesne has always had a passion for writing and storytelling. This stems from childhood. She was blind until the age of five and at that time her mother read her grand stories of adventure and love. This has carried over into her adult life. Her teacher’s husband was an Ophthalmologist; he was able to make her first pair of glasses. She is currently a student earning a Bachelors of Arts Degree in creative Writing for Entertainment at Full Sail University. She has been working on a fantasy series for the past seven years and hopes to be published within the next year. She believes that education, hard work and dedication are the keys to success

Night has finally taken over the city. It is safe for me to venture out onto these crowded New Orleans streets. Mardi Gras has consumed this town once more. People dressed in costumes and masks filling the streets. I am free to roam without fear of being seen. Stepping out into the street, the sweet smell of blood fills my senses. Breathing deep I pick up the smell of my first delicacy. I let my heightened senses draw me closer. She is captivatingly beautiful. Her long auburn hair hangs in ringlets down her back. She smells of sweet vanilla and her skin is like porcelain. I brush by her initiating a game of cat and mouse.
I’m terribly sorry
It’s okay,
she replies. Hard to avoid running into people when the streets are this busy.
I know what you mean,
I respond. Is this your first Mardi Gras?
Yes, I came here with some girlfriends,
She says shyly. We seem to have gotten separated.
This makes the game a little easier. I ask her to join me for the evening. She was a little hesitant at first, but enticing my victim’s is one of my many talents.
We stroll through the crowds for a time. Feeding her drinks and the tastes of the local cuisine. I ask her to join me along the water for a moonlit stroll. Intoxicated just to the point of not saying
