The sun was still rising in the east as Brock drove across the Interstate 10 Bridge over Mobile Bay.

He was angry, but this wasn’t unusual after a long, hard shift at the refinery with Murdock Baker. Unlike the last few nights, Brock was more upset with himself than his blackmailing boss.

Murdock’s words still rang in his ears. You were real sweet to me last night. The statement left his stomach twisting and his mind reeling.

During his sessions with Murdock, Brock had grown accustomed to blaming his behavior on the gruff ex-Marine, the drugs, or the chastity device. But after last night, the rich jock couldn’t play the blame game any longer. He’d been dosed with truth serum and revealed many things to his blackmailer—things he couldn’t chalk up to being horny or the GHB. And the more he thought about it, the more he recalled. They’d fucked all over the building many times, and Brock had the sore ass to prove it. He even remembered how they’d made out like teenagers. Even worse than that, Brock had confessed that he loved Murdock and even called him Dad.

Brock had revealed things prematurely—issues he was still coming to terms with, and that’s what gutted him.
