This is the second book in Irene Hannon's Hope Harbor series and is great. I like seeing how Eric and BJ work together to create the program for the seniors even though they are still not quiet sure what to think of each other. It is always nice to see how people can work out their differences to help out others. I liked seeing how Eric was to get past the changes he was having to go through even though he was not happy about all the changes he learned to work around them and found things to work out for the better. I received this book to read and review from the publisher.

This is a great romance. I loved it. I did not want to put this down. I loved Eric even though he is a lawyer and BJ was wonderful. This book had great characters like Eleanor and Luis and as always in Hope Harbor there is Charlie. I received a copy of this book from Revell for a fair and honest opinion.

On track for a partnership, attorney-at-law Eric Nash instead is made redundant and is out of a job. He goes home to Hope Harbor to reassess his job opportunities. Meanwhile, he reconnects with his true passion: painting. While talented, he didn’t believe being an artist would pay the bills. He meets B. J., the construction company owner who is remodeling his dad’s home into a B&B. After a rocky start, these two find they have an attraction to each other. This novel addresses some weightier social issues: depression, prejudice, elder-care, suicide, and more, but it still finds some space for romance. It’s a well written novel, with delightful characters in a wonderful setting. Hope Harbor is a lovely place to visit, even if it only exists in the pages of a book.

Returning to Hope Harbor with another sweet, contemporary story, Irene Hannon’s Sea Rose Lane explores starting over and second chances. Attorney Eric Nash has been laid off and heads to his hometown to figure out what could be next, while BJ Stevens, previously a big-city architect, is enjoying the quiet life of that town, though still grapples with her lingering past. As their paths cross unexpectedly, the pair embark on a journey of growth, hope, and heartwarming romance. Their story, like Hope Harbor, is one I will happily recommend. Thanks to Revell Reads, I received a copy of Sea Rose Lane and the opportunity to provide an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review, and all the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Sea Rose Lane, written by Irene Hannon, takes place on the Oregon coast. My favorite vacation spot is anywhere on the Oregon coast, so as the author started describing the sights, sounds, and smells of Hope Harbor, I was hooked. The story begins with Eric and BJ’s inauspicious meeting as Eric returns to Hope Harbor after getting laid off at his job in the big city. Once at his childhood home, he finds that his dad is turning it into a bed and breakfast. Not only that, BJ is the architect and crew chief for the construction team. Eric has returned home to lick his wounds and to find a new job. BJ Stevens moved to Hope Harbor not too long ago also looking for a fresh start. Both of them are working through some hurts, so they’re not exactly ready for a relationship – with anyone. The book has several storylines and a few eclectic characters that add flavor to the book. After their introductory meeting, Eric and BJ keep running into each other, eventually working together on a project that would help the town’s senior citizens (among others). I think this was the storyline that I found most satisfying. This is a sweet and clean romance, with a little bit of faith woven throughout. If Hope Harbor and the townspeople were real, I would make a reservation at that bed and breakfast.I received a free book from Revell Publishing (a division of Baker Publishing Group) in exchange for an unbiased review.

Irene Hannon is a go-to author for me. I have always loved her romantic suspense, and now she is my favorite for contemporary romance. Sea Rose Lane is the second book in her Hope Harbor series. A few characters from the first book make appearances, but it is easily read as a standalone novel. But my recommendation is to start at the beginning of the series — you will not want to miss any visit to this picturesque town on the Oregon Coast that is filled with people that quickly become friends (at least fictional friends:) ).DSC06478 Arch rock OregonSo what’s to like about Sea Rose Lane? Besides the true-to-life and endearing characters, the wonderfully detailed setting and a sweet, sweet romance, Hannon crafts a story a reader quickly sinks into. This book is not just a romance, but a story of hope and community. There are several story lines that, while secondary to the romance thread, bring a depth to the book with complex relationships, issue-oriented plot lines and lots to think about! There are also some unexpected characters — two seagulls and a seal — that add a touch of whimsy. And you will definitely be charmed and intrigued by the taco-making artist who seems to know an awful lot about what is going on in this small town.I absolutely loved Sea Rose Lane! A perfect choice for a Summer reading. Highly Recommended!Audience: adults.(Thanks to Revell for a review copy. All opinions expressed are mine alone.)

Title: Sea Rose Lane (Hope Harbor #2)Author: Irene HannonPages: 368Year: 2016Publisher: RevellMy rating is 5 stars. In the novel, a main character must decide whether to pursue his lifelong dreams while looking for a new job after a recent layoff. Eric returns to Hope Harbor after his layoff to spend some time with his widowed father in the home he grew up in. However, when he pulls up to the house, he gets the shock of his life! Yet, there is more that is going to challenge Eric as his time in Hope Harbor lengthens.BJ is working hard at building her architecture business in Hope Harbor as well as volunteering hours at Helping Hands. BJ has a tender heart that has come from some of her harder life experiences. BJ is also assisting the local high school with its set making for production of a play and time is running out for her to complete her work.Let me tell you there is much more to the novel than the two characters I share a little bit about plus some descriptions of beautiful scenes! I really enjoyed getting lost for a couple of hours in Harbor Hope and the characters that live there as they interact and share their stories. Each one of them has an experience or more than one which touch the heart of readers like me.Besides the romance theme, there is faith, trust, risk and believing God. There are times when I smiled or laughed out loud like the sea Lion Casper, who is a hoot! Irene Hannon has written a couple different series and her writing engages the whole person the moment one starts reading. I hope you enjoy this novel and make sure to read book one in the Hope Harbor Series!Disclosure of Material Connection: I received one or more of the products or services mentioned above for free in the hope that I would mention it on my blog.
