Dedication
I dedicate this book to you, my reader, for your continuous support and for both accepting and appreciating my written words. Writing, for me, is what reading is to you; .it’s breathing. To not be able to share this gift God has bestowed upon me with you would be to suffocate. Because of you, I write. Because of you, I can breathe. Because of you, I am able to release every thought I’ve ever had, everything I’ve ever said and everything I’ve ever done; the good, the bad and the ugly. And you don’t judge me. I guess it’s because half the time, especially in my fiction stories, you have no idea what parts are me. What parts are my joy. What parts are my pain. You just appreciate it for what it is...my life-all of me. And I thank you.
Love Always, Joy
I placed the flower in my hair and it became more than just a flower. It became beauty and strength. It was serendipity to discover the same about myself.

Waiting On My Change
I’m standing in the grocery store line. I’m standing in the grocery store line impatiently. I’m impatiently waiting to get checked out. I’m tapping my foot. It’s been a long day. I’m just trying to hurry up and get home. Got a ton of things to do, besides whip up these few ingredients in order to make a decent meal. The lady in front of me is writing a check. For real? Like who still does that? Now I have to wait even longer while the cashier calls a manager over to approve the check. I’m waiting.
