- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I like this book because of the mood that it sets. For young children who are first starting to read i couldn't think of a better book for them. 'This book not only tells what the weather feels like during spring but it tells the clothing that should be worn for each type of weather. For example, at the beginning of the story the first sentence says" I run outside in thin pants and short sleeves". I also liked that the book tells the different animals that will be present during spring such as ladybugs, goldfinches and even snakes. The only problem i had with this book is that for younger age groups it might be a little long. Unless you are able to keep the students attention they might wander off every now and then.
