CHAPTER 1

The Global Consciousness Shift

There is a passage in A Course in Miracles that says, If you knew who was walking beside you at all times on this path that you have chosen you could never experience fear or doubt again.

It is an amazing time to be alive. Right here, right now. We are going through a shift in our consciousness on a global level. More and more people are waking up to a spiritual connection. More than ever we are realising that this is a personal journey and the answers to our questions lie within ourselves.

There is more suffering now than at any time on the planet and it is propelling more and more people into seeking a better world. Rather than defeating us this suffering has in so many ways united us and more people are realising that this is a personal shift rather than a time to blame the government, society, or our upbringing. It’s about shifting within ourselves and changing our own habits of thought which in turn gives us more of a joyful, loving, and abundant experience.

We are more powerful than we perhaps remember. You may have heard of many people who, by meditating at the same time, decrease the crime rate in that area. By simply bringing up the frequency on a personal level this affects what is happening around us.

We are in a time of much change. There will be a shift in the global wealth system, a shift in the media, and a shift in government worldwide. As we raise our consciousness on a global level the manifestations must also shift. The law of attraction can only manifest what the level of consciousness allows. A more positive feel will infiltrate these areas as we ourselves move into that space.

The education system is already shifting. There are teachers who are realising it’s about teaching our kids how to think, not what to think. Our kids have been taught about the way things are and the way things were. There is very little about how things could be and seeing possibilities. Young people are fresh to this world. They have more ideas than we realise. What would happen if we encouraged our young people to talk about those ideas and encouraged them to develop them? What if we told them they have the power to change what they don’t like and they can create the reality they desire? There are teachers who are learning about empowering ideas like this and are passing them on to the kids. It’s so great to see. I’m looking forward to when we officially put into the curriculum a class called Improving your world or You are powerful.

Individually we will know our true power. We will have so much trust within ourselves and divine guidance that we will know where we need to be and what we have to do at any given time. Following our own guidance will be second nature. Synchronicities will abound. Aha moments will amp up more than they already are. Our ability to view ourselves and each other as the energy we really are will improve exponentially. Love for each other will increase. Imagine being in love with everyone!

I would like to talk a little about self-healing and self-diagnosis. This is happening more and more and the stories are endless. It reminds me of The Celestine Prophecy where the main character is walking in the bush and sprains his ankle. A doctor comes by and he asks her to take a look and tell him how bad it is. How bad do you think it is? is her response. She explains that if she tells him it’s really bad it will take longer to heal, that she is changing the way she practises and is looking to empower her patient. He then decided it wasn’t that bad and it healed in hours instead of days. This is not a true story. It does,
