About this ebook
Plus-sized Sharon Beckford has made a good life for herself and her young son, building her real estate company from the ground up. But one thing is missing in her life—love. Though she privately crushes on one of her agents, the dashing Rolf Steiner, she never believes anything will come from it until he offers to escort her a charity ball she's attending. The wealthy Mrs. Pettigrew will be at the ball, a woman whose vast estate is rumored to soon be on the market, and if Sharon lands the account, she can afford more medical help for her chronically ill son.
Despite having Rolf on her arm, Sharon meets David Cutter at the ball, the very attractive nephew--and lawyer--of Mrs.Pettigrew. Sparks fly between them immediately, potential business mixing with pleasure.
But Rolf has plans up his sleeve that don't involve Sharon involving herself with David--or meeting Mrs. Pettigrew at all. And if she's not careful, she might lose everything she's been working for.
Judy Bagshaw
Judy Bagshaw was a retired elementary school teacher and writer in Southern Ontario, Canada. As a plus-sized woman, she longed to see stories featuring full-figured central characters. Much of her work features such women leading rich and active lives, as she did. Romantic suspense was her genre of choice, but she also wrote humor, some non-fiction, and children's stories. Her currently available works include several novels, work in multiple anthologies, and a short story collection. She was also part of the writing team for the Ginn Reading Steps from Pearson Educational, a program widely used in elementary schools. Judy sadly passed away in 2015 but her legacy of size-positive romance novels lives on.

A Note from Judy’s Literary Heir...
When I received access to Judy’s computer, I found this complete novella among her files. There were indications it had been submitted once but no record of publication.
It’s my pleasure to be able to share it with her readers now, the first posthumously published piece of her writing, and I think it would make her happy to know her work of size-positive romance continues to live on.
Enjoy.

Chapter One
Sharon Beckford sat at her desk watching Rolf Steiner amble from his cubicle to the copy machine. Tall, dark, classically handsome, he made her heart do flip-flops with just a smile. She smoothed the fabric of her skirt over her ample thighs and sighed. Not that she’d ever have a chance with someone like him...
That was a heavy sigh.
Her secretary and friend Chrissie stood in the doorway. She followed Sharon’s gaze and grinned. Oh, I see. Mooning after Rolfie-boy again.
Sharon jerked her eyes back to the paperwork on her desk and feigned interest. Don’t be silly. I was just...
She opened her desk drawer and stirred through the contents trying to think of a plausible excuse.
Just?
Chrissie pursed her lips and tapped a scarlet fingernail against her cheek.
Sharon could feel her face getting hot and was sure her cheeks must be betraying her embarrassment.
Oh, don’t look so smug.
