    Introduction

When Tim and Kristen reunite at Kristen’s sister’s home, it is a reunion of mixed emotions. Despite their uncertainties and insecurities, they decide to meet at a local bar. Instead, each finds a new love and when the other finds out, the storm that follows could prove destructive to what little remains of their relationship. Determined to reconcile, Tim comes to call on Kristen’s new home again, only for a terrible accident to take place which leaves his love in critical condition. It is yet unknown weather she will live or die and if she lives, weather their relationship will fail or flourish.

    Chapter One: Tim

Tim could just see her, looking out at him from a nearby window. He was blown away by her beauty, her clothing and even the way she carried herself now radiating a whole new woman. even from this distance he could tell she was happy, and in a strange way it hurt to see such joy. This was the kind of joy he longed to give her, but by the looks of things from outside the middle class Texas house, it might be to late.

Tim heard a door open from within. Then the soft hiss of the screen door as a woman emerged and the door slammed behind her. The heals of her shoes tapped on the pavement as she approached him with a mixed expression. Finally she stopped nearby and gazed over at Tim, who gazed back in obvious awe.

Wow. Time said after a moment of taking in Kristen’s every detail. You look like you’re doing great. A sound came from somewhere and his eyes drifted upward to what he was hoping he didn’t see correctly. There in her arms was a small bundle, a thick head of hair and an adorable little face peaking out from the soft pink blanket. He had missed his chance, she was already with someone, and had a child to boot. Oh how much he clearly didn’t know about Kristen.

Thanks. She said with a little smile, not missing a beat. I’ve really enjoyed it here. It’s nice to see you though.

An award silence fell as neither Tim nor Kristen really knew where to go from there. Well, I better go. He said, I don’t want to interfere with anything.

Kristen shot her head. You won’t be interfering. We were just going to go have a few drinks if you want to join us. We’re celebrating my new job and new beginnings here.

Tim felt as though a Leaden weight had just dropped into his chest. Kristen and her new man were going to celebrate. How long had they been together? They must have been together a long while, judging by the age of the little baby in her arms. Why hadn’t she taken the girl with her when she went back home? So many questions ran through his now aching head but he was to nervous to even attempt asking. No it’s okay. Replied Tim after a moment. Really it is. I’m pretty tired. I think I’ll just go lie down for a while.

    Kristen nodded
