About this ebook

With the certainty of civil rebellion, economic collapse, terrorism, and World War III, many believe that there is no longer any hope for our world and that we are now on an unavoidable collision course with disaster. This book gives a realistic and positive explanation from the Bible of how God will intervene to stop this. It offers hope to those who no longer believe that things could possible end well for our planet.

By now, millions of people are aware that the affairs of our world are governed by global elites who claim no allegiance to any country. The sole purpose for which they live is to become the only authority on planet earth. They are neither interested in nor do they wish to share their goal for world domination with anyone. They are in the process of eliminating all competition and will stop at nothing, including World War III, to achieve their goal.

Legions of people, both past and present, have written about them and their plans for a one-world government. Though this book will hopefully contribute to this awareness, its real purpose is to explain what God has to say about those who are pushing for a New World Order and particularly His plans to stop them. Just as their intentions for world domination have historically remained in the background and largely unseen by most, so God's plan to defeat them has remained hidden in prophecies and parables scattered throughout the Bible. As it turns out, for those who have eyes to see it, God has a plan to interrupt their quest to control the world and it will happen before the Coming of Jesus Christ in the Clouds of heaven. There is hope for our world because, in the "Spirit and Power of Elijah", all things will be restored as they were meant to be.

The "stone the builders rejected" will break in pieces and consume all the kingdoms of the New World Order and will become the highest of mountains on earth.

    Christ Harbor - Zachariah Topstone

    Part 1

The Wise Virgin (Gavin Finley endtimepilgrim.org)

"And none of the wicked shall understand, but

those who are wise shall understand."

    (Da 12:10a ESV)

    Introduction

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you. (Is 60:1-2 ESV)

    Seeking Him

Some time ago, I came home from work and just sank into the couch; I had reached my limit. I saw the changes taking place in the world and I deeply felt the spiritual vacuum in my own life and I just couldn’t go on. When my wife came home from work and began preparing dinner, I let her know that I wasn’t eating. That went on every meal time for the next three weeks.

Leading up to this, I had done a serious review of my life and I was so disheartened with what I saw. When I first came to Christ, I experienced such a dramatic change in my life that I was transformed completely. Some years later, I bumped into a friend of mine who was there when it happened. Though not a believer, he couldn’t help but ask about my walk with the Lord. He commented, I still can’t believe how much you changed. I have never seen anyone change that much, that fast. Then, over the years, my life gradually morphed into what it was that day on the couch.

That day I felt so distant from God that I could hardly breath. I remember the only hope I had was in this scripture:

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who diligently seek him. (He 11:6 ESV).

I remember faintly crying out to him, Lord you promised that you would reward those who diligently seek you and I am seeking you with all my heart.

From that moment till three weeks later, I read no books, watched no television, and talked with no one. I sat there on that couch with my Bible and prayer when I wasn’t at work. I had decided that I could meet with the creator of the universe and that trumped everything.

The journey from that point till now has been a remarkable experience. Though I didn’t know it at the time, it was a beginning that would eventually lead to the writing of Christ Harbor.

    Hopeless Confusion

The message heard just about everywhere today is, Unless we wake up, we are going to lose our freedom. The problem is that people can’t wake up because they are confused about what that means. For many, being awake is more of a dream than reality.

Speaking to the tolerant, lukewarm Laodiceans of the Book of Revelation, John records these words:

For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. (Re 3:17 ESV)

His point here is that confusion about reality may lead to eternal consequences. It is this confusion that is fueling the end times lethargy now experienced by so many.

As we scan all the differing opinions about the last days, the generation still alive when it happens will be deeply challenged to make sense of it all. However, navigating through the confusion and controversy becomes necessary in the face of tribulation.

Compelled to find answers by the unraveling circumstances of our world, many are no longer able to brush aside their questions about the last days. They are frustrated however, with what they are finding. Like those who travel to a large city for the first time, their experience is filled with anxiety because they can’t make sense of the map they are using.

Ezekiel describes such an experience about the end times when he said:

Multitudes, multitudes, in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. (Jl 3:14-15 ESV)

In this life, complexity and complication are inevitable, but confusion is a choice. The starting point for most of us begins with this problem. Our first decision must be to end the confusion. As this age is closing, would God bring us to such a critical time and provide no clear way for us to proceed?

The way forward is through His word where we have a promise reserved for the time of the end:

"And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand." (Da 12:10 ESV)

    The Wise

Before interpreting a troubling dream that King Nebuchadnezzar had during the Babylonian Captivity, the prophet Daniel provided this explanation about how he was able to do it:

"No wise men, enchanters, magicians, or astrologers can show to the king the mystery that the king has asked, but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days." (Da 2:27b-28a ESV)

The ultimate source for ending confusion is for God to reveal the mystery that surrounds it. Again, Daniel explains to Nebuchadnezzar to whom he reveals mysteries:

"He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him." (Da 2:21-22 ESV)

Notice that understanding comes first. You simply cannot gain knowledge by starting with confusion. You will have a very difficult time, for example, getting a drivers license by telling the driving instructor that you are confused about how to drive a car.

The means of travel begins with believing that we can understand with confidence what God has said. As always, we start by believing, but with the clear anticipation of reward for our diligence:

"And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him." (He 11:6 ESV)

    Deep Hunger

The Church today is very aware that she is in trouble. The main cause of the trouble is that she is unaware of, or confused about, her participation in the last days. The scripture refers to a wicked deception that comes upon the whole world at the end of the age (2 Th 2:9-11).

It suggests that it will be so powerful that many will be overwhelmed by it and given over to the lie such that even the very elect of God should be deceived, if that were possible. Thankfully, the phrase in the original language clearly implies that this will not be possible (Mt 24:24).

However, this wicked deception will leave the Church all but powerless within her institutional structures (be aware, even independent, non-affiliated churches will also suffer with this dilemma). John describes it as the work of the beast:

And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. (Re 11:7-8 KJV)

Once the witness of true believers has concluded at the end of the Church Age, the once mighty church will still be seen but unfortunately, it will be seen only as a dead body, an empty shell. The churches which once preached the true Gospel will now be filled with foolish virgins. In eastern thought, not to bury someone after death was a disgrace, not only to the deceased but to their families. Here we are told that their bodies will lie in the street of the great city which is called Sodom and Egypt, a figurative reference for the world. The bodies of those fallen away will lie exposed for all to see in the great city, the once mighty city of Western Christianity.

With deep sorrow, disillusioned Christians, who used to be the bed rock of congregations across the land, are now readily identifying with the words found in Isaiah:

Like a pregnant woman who writhes and cries out in her pangs when she is near to giving birth, so were we because of you, O Lord; we were pregnant, we writhed, but we have given birth to wind. We have accomplished no deliverance in the earth, and the inhabitants of the world have not fallen. (Is 26:17-18 ESV)

    A Great Light

If God rewards those who seek him, the question is, with what does he reward? The answer is the light of revelation.

Isaiah prophesied of a light that shines in darkness:

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shined. (Is 9:2 ESV)

Those who received the Messiah at his first coming were the benefactors of this light. Confusion, the wicked offspring of the darkness, was obliterated in the presence of His light. The darkness of the old age began to fade as the new was dawning.

Now, some 2000 years later, the close of that age is now upon us. The time of patient endurance is drawing to a close (Re 3:10 ESV). The signs of tribulation, referred to by Jesus are everywhere (Mt 24).

To understand what is happening, the light again speaks to us from the ancient past:

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you. (Is 60:1-2 ESV)

Here we see an unusual paradox; light increasing while thick darkness covers the people. As it was at His first appearing, so shall it be at His return. A great light is about to shine on the earth.

This is where faith is rewarded. As tribulation increases, so the hunger to relieve anxiety increases. At the same time, tolerance for confusion decreases. People want to understand what is happening to them and if there is anything they can do about it, so they are searching. This is making for a perfect storm for the greatest and last revival in the history of the world.

    How Can This Be?

But how will we have this light while the world is spinning out of control in ever increasing crescendoes of darkness? More to the point, how can this happen in a world where anything remotely looking like a revival will not be tolerated by a majority of the people or any government authority who will have absolute control of its citizens? And if it can’t happen through any institutional structure, where is the glue to hold it together, give it tracks to run on, and allow for the explosive growth that will happen?

With men this is impossible but with God, all things are possible. Again, the prophet Zechariah saw this when he spoke of a village without walls:

"And behold, the angel who talked with me came forward, and another angel came forward to meet him and said to him, run, say to that young man, ‘Jerusalem (Father’s House) shall be inhabited as villages without walls, because of the multitude of people and livestock in it. And I will be to her a wall of fire all around, declares the Lord, and I will be the glory in her midst’." (Ze 2:3-5 ESV)

God has been planning this from before the foundation of the world and knows every step to take to bring the Father’s House into the light in the last days. As the prophet Micah foretold:

"It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord (Father’s House) shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and it shall be lifted up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it, and many nations shall come, and say: ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob (Father’s House), that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths’.

For out of Zion (Christ Harbor) shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem (Father’s House). He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide for strong nations far away; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore; but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid, for the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken." (Mi 4:1-4 ESV)

But how is all of this to happen?

    CHAPTER 1

    Where to From Here?

"Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet". (1 Co 15:24 ESV)

All journeys must start somewhere and this one starts at the end of the beginning.

    The Future

The future is in the Lord’s hands and it is enough to trust Him. We can all say with confidence, I may not know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future. So is our faith lacking when we want to know more?

There is a difference between "not trusting Him for the future and wanting to know our part in the future" that He holds. As tribulation increases, the urgency to understand what is happening increases and tolerance for not knowing decreases.

Sometimes, in the game of life, when a person is struggling, even though they trust their coach implicitly, they want to know what the next play is and what their part will be. Are they in the game or are they on the bench? Is our team in possession of the ball? Will the next play be a pass or a run? How many yards do we need to make the first down?

As Paul pointed out to the Corinthian Christians, the appointed time has grown very short and it is time to focus less on this life and more on the battle. (cf 1 Co 7:26-35)

I recall how exciting it was many years ago, to listen to end times preachers describe the sequence of events leading up to the Coming of Jesus Christ in the Clouds of Heaven. Week-long prophecy conferences were popping up everywhere, at the time, and one didn’t have to travel very far, on any given weekend, to hear a special speaker enthusiastically expound on the subject.

Most churches it seemed had turned the content of their sermons to it as well. Given our understanding of the of end times back then, I believe my wife and I even had a conversation that it might be better for us not to start a family. Of course, we didn’t follow that path and now we are blessed with a wonderful heritage. But were our concerns then, legitimate?

Now that we are at the door and can actually see it unfolding, and particularly, how it is happening and where our world is headed, exciting doesn’t begin to describe the dread coming over our world. The enemy knows that his time is short and is seeking whom he may devour (Re 12:12 ESV). His activity towards the end will be far more shocking than ever before.

Just as the early disciples of Jesus were stunned after He was murdered on the cross, so now many are reeling from the overwhelming shock of what is happening to our world. Listen to the words of Christ spoken to His disciples just before He was crucified:

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe. I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming and he has no claim on me…" (Jn 14:27-30 ESV)

Without a revelation of Him in our hearts, It is impossible to love Christ the way He suggested here. How could they rejoice watching the way He was murdered? Even so, there are many who now know, or soon will know, that they don’t have this revelation and they are terrified by what is coming. The bad news is that the ruler of this world is coming. The good news is that a greater revelation of Christ is also coming.

Everything in our world is being shaken, but we shall have a peace which is not of this world. And those with the ears to hear it will find faith because of it. We must remember that what was destroyed on that cross was not just the Christ, but the misconceived ideas of who He was. It is what many believe and hold near and dear that is now dying. After death however, comes life. Jesus is soon to appear with a mighty army who believe that they will see the glory of God.

Just before the above passage, Jesus said to them:

I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you. Yet a little while and the world will see me no more but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. (Jn 14:18-19 ESV)

Even though this was realized by His disciples on the Day of Pentecost, the full revelation is yet to come as the end of all things draws
