Chapter One

Lynn sits in the airport reading one of those magazines that really is primarily to get you to buy things in the gift shop. She sees a few things that are of interest, but nothing really catches her eye. She’s just passing time and has already been told by her editor Jack that there’s a new assignment waiting for her.

She was hoping for some downtime and she just come back from England, where she took photos of some of the hot spots, not including the tourist traps that everybody thought of. She worked for a travel magazine called ‘Out of the way’ and it was catered to those that wanted to see the world in a different way.

She didn’t even know how she had got the job in the first place and she had never even considered traipsing around the globe. It was just one of those things that she fell into as a freelance journalist and photographer. One particular photo caught the eye of Jack and before she knew it she was being offered a job that was basically her dream job on a silver platter.

Her love life was DOA and she really didn’t have any prospects, but she was quite happy being alone. At least that is what she convinced herself each and every time that she saw a couple walk by holding hands. It did pain her a little bit to see that kind of devotion to another human being. She was always friendly, compassionate and caring, but her lifestyle was not exactly conducive to keeping a man for very long.
