When Michael wakes from fitful sleep he knows everything has changed forever.

How This Works

‘Dead And Alive’ is a multi-season serial following the lives of three characters: Diavian Hatara, Kailah Turner and Michael Garran. Each ‘season’ is of novella length (between 30,000 and 40,000 words), split into 6–8 ‘episodes’.

Episodes will be released every other month with a gap of 3–4 months between seasons.

Aside from that, it’s pretty simple. Grab a drink, get comfortable and prepare for a fast-paced thriller, charting what happens when the lives of vampires and humans collide.

Stephanie lay beside him, a champagne glass held delicately between her fingers. She smiled. Gave a soft burst of laughter. Pressed gentle kisses to his lips, ears and neck. ‘I love you,’ she whispered, fingering the hollow at the base of his throat. ‘So, so much.’

Michael faced her, pushing her arms flat against the fluffy blanket beneath them. He stretched his body across hers. So warm. Soft. He touched her nose. Flicked a strand of dark, wavy hair from her eyes. ‘Right back at you.’

Her mouth opened, red lips pulling back to expose bright, white fangs. With a sigh, she pressed their tips to the side of his neck. The sharp prick, as they pierced skin, drew a groan from his lips.

‘I love you, Steph.’ And with those words he fell, spiralling, plunging deep into darkness.

Michael opened his eyes. Twitched his fingers.

Can’t move.

Panic fired his blood. Hot sweat cascaded down his neck and shoulders.

Dark. Can’t see. Oh, God. No—no—help—

He jerked upright in bed, clutching his chest, a strangled wail trapped at the back of his throat.

Where am I?

Foreign bed. Bare walls. Glistening floor. Chill air racing through a broken window.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

Stephanie?

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

What is that?

He looked around. Fought to steady his breathing.
