About this ebook

Jazz didn’t care one fig about love after that street rat gold-digging jerk tore her heart out. No, she’s content with being the financial mind behind Fantasy Ave and protecting it as fiercely as a tigress.

That was until Lysandros Sotiris walked into her office with the intent of buying into Fantasy Ave. And then Tatiana, Fairy-Godmother, had to stick her head in it. Now Jazz has to give Lysandros one week without any barriers, and preferably without any clothes, in order to keep Fantasy Ave. If she walks away she loses the home she’s helped build for the displaced women of Elsia.

But how can she fall in love when she doesn’t even know it exists? How can she trust herself to know if his love is worth fighting for?

So I think this is the part where I’m supposed to say something super cool, win you over, and make you my life-long superfan…OR wait, is that how I am about my anime collection? Probably. Basically, I’m an author, blogger, geek, and villain lover (Joker IS MINE!). There shouldn’t be any surprise then that I tend to love my heroes a bit broken, all messed up, and in need of someone who understands them just the way they are. My heroines are right there with them. You see, love is nice, it’s sweet. It can be all rainbows and glowing stars. And then it can be dark, twisted, hurtful, and feel so damn good you have to scream about it. So I write like that. From one side of the spectrum to the other, because that’s real. That’s life. And that’s what we crave–delving into a fantasy world or not.

    Chapter One

He wanted her and he was going to have her.

Lysandros Sotiris sat before the most delectable woman he’d ever seen, and he wanted her spread over her desk, legs tucked over his shoulders, fingers twisted in his hair, and screaming her head off—and he wanted that sooner than later. She was an odd creature, to be sure—nothing like his usual type. Most women fixed themselves up to the nines when they worked in business, especially working with him. They wore designer dresses and suits and had their hair perfectly coifed. Not Jazz Alumir. No, she stood before him in a black lace top, tucked into a black beaded corset. Her matching pants were straight leg and covered whatever may have been on her feet. She had a cloth choker around her neck, with bands of pearls dangling and reconnecting so she had a frame of pearls over her collar bone. She had her dark hair pulled up in an elegant side bun, but there was a black lace and beaded flower there too, with threads of gold, covering the bun. Her face looked to be completely bare of makeup. She was a classic beauty, with high cheekbones, slanted eyes, and full lips.

    Yes, he wanted her.

Mr. Sotiris, I understand that you want to buy into the project of Fantasy Ave, however, you’ve wasted your time coming to see me today. Palace Building has a vested interest in Bazaar Casino and Hotel, Sahara Suites, the Moroccan, and several other properties in the surrounding area. We have no interest in merging into a much larger company that would want to change how things are done here, our staffing, or the vision of the business owners here, Jazz told him.

He heard it all, and listened to none. He wanted her company like he wanted her. He sat back in his seat, crossing his legs. He didn’t answer her, only stared.

She was a shrewd business woman. She’d gotten her company up and off the ground in just under ten years. Lysandros had done his research. She and a large group of women had joined several companies ranging from small business to large units, and Jazz sat at the top of the pyramid. Fantasy Ave was rivaling Vegas with the revenue that they brought in, and any businessman worth his salt would want to find their way in. Once he saw Jazz, though, Lysandros had been just as interested in getting Jazz to be his.

I’m not asking you to change what you’ve done. To put it bluntly, it works. I simply want to enhance it and add more business. The strip could be extended to allow for more attractions, adding to your revenue, Lysandros explained.

That’s just it, Mr. Sotiris, we aren’t interested in expanding. We are fine just where we are. We are a tight knit group and keeping it like that is exactly why we’ve been so successful. We’ve come up with the idea and execution of the plan has been flawless. Any change could topple what we’ve created. I’m sure you understand that. Now, Jazz said, standing. She signaled to her guard posted at the door.

It’s been a pleasure meeting with you, and I’d like to extend you a weekend here in the hotel, complimentary of course. We will provide what you may need within a disclosed amount and package that has been left in your room. Thank you for coming to Bazaar Casino and Hotel. We hope to see you again, she finished.

Lysandros knew when he’d lost a battle. Oh, he was sure to win the war, but he would bow out for now. Jazz had been
