CHAPTER ONE

Teaching the Brat

I was really in trouble this time. Perhaps daddy's lawyer wouldn't be able to buy my way out of this ordeal, and I'd actually have to pay for what I had done. I know that Abbie was likely shitting her pants right about now. She was right, the prank backfired as she predicted, and I'm sure she's sitting there smugly congratulating herself about it.

Daddy's lawyer just arrived and entered the Dean's office. Now we'll get down to business, and I'll hopefully get out of here with a slap on the wrist. I could hear him really giving it to the Dean, which seemed to go on forever. I stole a few glances at Abbie, who was giving me quite a stink eye. I tried to smile at her once, but that only seemed to piss her off more. I thought I was being reassuring, but she didn't want to see it that way.

The police just came out of the office and my father is speaking with them. I had no idea it was going to be a criminal matter. Our lawyer seems to have something worked out, and they are waving me into the Dean's office. Wait a minute, I can't believe my eyes, they're arresting Abbie right in front of
