Chapter 1 - I'm bored!
Jack Walters was an ordinary kid with an ordinary life. At least he thought so anyway. He'd spent his entire 13 years of life doing ordinary things and getting ordinary results. Grrr, It's boring
he growled to himself as he walked down Edmonton Road.
You see for all these years, Jack had felt like there was something going on in his life and that something was amiss. He knew that for some strange reason they had to be more than this. How many other kids have ordinary days and ordinary lives?
he thought to himself as he kicked a stone down the road, just missing a parked car.
Old Mr Thomas the grumpy man across the road owns that car and he was looking out of his window at Jack, just a the precise moment he kicked that stone. Oops!
thought Jack, and he picked up his pace and ran to the bottom of the hill and turned round the corner out of sight of grumpy old Thomas. Ha ha ha ha - I escaped him again!
, he chuckled and carried on walking, whistling a funny tune he had just made up.
He didn't mean to be a bother to anyone but he couldn't help it sometimes, and old Mr Thomas had a funny habit of always being there every time Jack walked by, and he didn't like it. It made him feel uneasy.
Jack eventually reached a familiar house. Stuart Middlemiss's house. Stuart was a good friend. In fact he was Jack's only friend in school. Jack wasn't sure why Stuart befriended him, but he wasn't bothered, as all he cared about was making sure that Stuart and he had a good laugh and giggle. Stu had come straight over to Jack and had always been overly protective of him.
Hi Stuuuu!
Jack yelled as he let himself in through his friends front door. As soon as the door slammed behind Jack, he heard Stu shouting back. Come on up Jack - I'm in my room!
. Jack kicked off his shoes and ran up the stairs, turning right at the top and pushing Stu's door open.
What are you up to Stu?
Said Jack, with wide eyes and a big grin on his face. I'm just putting the finishing touches to my secret experiment!
said Stu. Oh, it's about time Stu, come on let me take a look
, eager to find out what all the mystery had been for the past couple of weeks. Stu barely had time to say anything because Jack had immediately lifted the White sheet that was covering Stu's bedroom floor.
Laying there in the middle of Stuart's
