Say yes to Your Best Life! 90 Day Challenge - Jamie Best
We Don't Remember The Exact, Same Truth
Yes. Our memory of the truth fades. The truth we remember in our minds will be different from one moment to another. Our memory unintentionally removes or adds details to what actually happened. No one can remember the exact truth of the moment. No one. It's like watching a movie for the hundredth time. Every single time you watch it, there will be details you'll notice that you didn't notice before. It's the same movie, but now you see the difference. One scene that enthralled you in the past is now totally drab. And that uneventful section of the movie holds more meaning.
We live the same life, and every time we rewind and look back at our memories of the past, we notice the things we've never seen before. The truth, as we remember it, changes every time we look at it.
The Raw Nerves Beneath the Skin
We are all uncomfortable of stripping ourselves naked. We work and create thick layers of fake success and achievements because we are afraid of real success. When I say fake success, I mean the things that we think will impress people, not the success that will make us happy or make us better a better person.
Impressed now?
Look at all the things I can do
. Even though I really don't want to do any of them. I brag about them one by one. You better be impressed now or I will chop your head off. That will get your attention. God, why is it so hard to impress you?
Look at all this! Look at all my achievements, damn it! Isn't this good
