I'm Anna Coleshaw-Echols, and I would like to "gift" the world with public speaking skills in the hope of curing the debilitating and career-limiting fear of public speaking. I believe it can be done in just six weeks if you follow my Giving the Gift program. Ask yourself... Are my past experiences the root cause of my public speaking fear today? Can I leave those experiences in the past, treating them as learning experiences and not reasons for fear? And if the answer is no, then ask yourself what would it take for you to leave those memories once and for all in the past? Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present. Your training path to fearless speaking is simply a series of steps, with each new step building on what has been already learned previously. Let's go on this journey together, one step at a time! I strongly believe that anyone can become a fearless and effective public speaker, and I teach the principles and skills that make this possible. My six-week course provides individuals with the opportunity to succeed as a fledging public speaker in a safe, organized and supportive environment where you can learn and grow your personal speaking style while also learning from your classmates. The hardest step in making any change is simply getting started. So as a first step I encourage you to subscribe to and read through my blog tips which cover a variety of topics, including how to overcome your fears of public speaking. I believe that once you get to the root of your fear, address it, and then move forward to conquering it through taking regular, weekly action -- that you will truly succeed in your given vocation.

Foreword
by Steve Lowell
Just because someone can speak in public doesn’t mean they should.
I believe that everyone has a story to tell; a story that could change lives. The unfortunate thing is that so many people who have great stories to tell don’t have the confidence or the skills they need to take the stage and share their message in public.
On the other side of the equation, I see far too many presenters, who think themselves ready and because they have no fear, they risk their reputation and credibility by getting in front of a live audience without being properly prepared for the experience.
This where Anna Coleshaw-Echols and this book comes in.
In your hands, you hold a valuable tool that can help you bring your story, message, expertise, wisdom and knowledge to the world with impact and influence, IF you follow the tips and suggestions contained within.
Effective public speaking and presenting does not have to be complicated. You don’t have to feel overwhelmed by rules, restrictions and regulations. But, it does need to be deliberately planned and executed if it’s going to provide the outcome you expect as a speaker or presenter. So many speakers and presenters take the platform before they’re really ready and sometimes the results don’t serve the speaker or their organization. In fact, often times the results are damaging.
Getting in front of a live audience without the proper preparation can damage your credibility not only in the eyes of the present audience, but in the eyes of everyone who watches the recorded YouTube presentation afterwards. Believe me, someone in your audience will record you on their smart phone and post the video before you are even off the stage.
I believe with the instantaneous, worldwide distribution of content being so easy through social media, the fear of public speaking is warranted.
Have I scared you yet?
I hope so because the platform is serious real estate and those who take the stage have a responsibility to be properly prepared for the audience who is investing their most expensive, scarce and highly-protected resource…their attention.
That’s why I believe so much in what Anna has provided for you, here in this book.
This book can not only prevent you from having an ill-prepared and poorly executed presentation go viral, it can help you claim your space as the known expert in your field, establish your credibility and elevate your confidence to a significant degree.
Read this book! Study it! Absorb it and keep it handy at every speaking
