Holiday Naughty 2 - Rebecca Lee
Chapter 1—Beth
I was sure my ticket was punched when I was voted partner.
The three unproductive work days between Christmas and New Years were spent partying with Andrew on South Beach at night and staying in bed with him until noon each day.
I felt satisfied but I didn't feel complete. And deep down that made me sad. Because I should have been on top of the world.
At least it was easy to forget how incomplete I felt. Having sex with Andrew and sampling the night life in Miami without the endless pressure of making partner felt great. Plus I'd won Andrew and beat the competition there too.
But when I wasn't having fun, the down time kept bringing me back to Tyler. Not just how sexy he was or how great he fucked me. But what he said to me when we were relaxing in his bed after our first time together.
He told me that my first love Brad wouldn't know and therefore wouldn't care how successful I had become. Essentially that my whole motivation for doing what I'd done with the hard work and hours was for something that didn't matter. It haunted me whenever my brain was allowed to think amid the sex and partying I was doing
Andrew kissed me goodbye early on the fourth day, headed up to Palm Beach to make an appearance at the office. He was right that it wasn't a great idea we show up together. We didn't want everyone to know. He said wanted to protect me from having Shawna find out that I was the reason I he was blowing up his marriage.
I knew eventually it was inevitable. But it would surely have been a lot easier for her to take once she had her divorce settlement money and alimony rolling in.
I liked Shawna and I loved her kids, but I only had one life to live. Having a powerful man like Andrew in my bed and more, made me feel like I'd made it.
After he left, I pulled myself out of bed and shook my ass in a sort of odd attempt at twerking. I was in a good mood and excited to head back into work. It was only a couple more days until the weekend, then another fun holiday. I was looking forward to cranking the party up again.
In the meantime, it was going to be fun to see the new stationary with my name on the firm monogram. My personal victory parade was about to take place.

That old prick Brundidge. What a pain in the ass. No one liked him. But to his credit, he never behaved like he gave a shit.
He was decrepit and skinny with a perpetual scowl on his face. I heard one older lawyer in the office describe it best: The walking poster boy for working too much, making too much money, and being frightened to take one moment off to actually enjoy it.
Brundidge's end of the year meeting wasn't so much a meeting as it was a chance for the old bastard to do two things. First, he wanted to gripe about piddly stuff like not wearing the right length skirt or men not having a fully tied tie. Second, he wanted to cry poverty because he was being so generous
handing out year-end bonuses.
And so it was no surprise when that meeting my first morning, as a partner started out right on script.
But then oddly, it went sideways and not in a good way.
