Growing up in the absolute middle of nowhere meant that trying to get a job was hard. Very hard. So when I got a job cleaning rooms at our local lodge when I was sixteen, I held onto it. I held onto it with everything I had.

Sure, it wasn’t pretty, but it was actually a nice place. Lots of tourists coming up for the wild life and mountain trails. The place itself was gorgeous, really stunning, and most of our guests were quite wealthy. They’d have to be for some of the rooms we rented out.
