He looked down, a little scared as my face inched nearer his own, my eyes zoning in on his pretty lips.  He felt tense as I approached him, but didn’t move.  Finally, it seemed, I had pushed past his barrier.

It’s OK.  My lips kissed his own, softly at first and without much reciprocation.  I broke briefly, waiting an inch from his mouth for some kind of response as his body stayed stiff.
