Dr. Richard Sparks created Lionheart Ministries in Athens, Al. in 1997 to break down the walls of traditions in the church today. He has served as the pastor of Southwind Christian Center from 1997 till 2012 and Lionheart Christian Church from 2012 till present. He serves as President of Lionheart Ministries and Lionheart Christian Academy.Richard has been a Project Engineering Manager in the Nuclear Power Industry for over 30 years. Richard has taught in both the industrial settings and at the college level. Richard has degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering and Human Factors Engineering. He is a Navy Veteran.Richard has been married to Sheila Sparks since 1979. Sheila is the founder of Lionheart Christian Academy. The Sparks have one daughter Telitha and one granddaughter Ella.

Psalms 133

1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

The psalmist gives us a revelation that we all understand - that when the brethren are in unity - things are good and pleasant. It is God's plan for the church, for us to be in unity. Unities of the spirit and of the faith are essential to the well being of any church body.
