Jack O Lantern's Huge Halloween Trivia Challenge - Jonathan Ozanne
INTRODUCTION
This book is an updated version of Jack o’ Lantern’s Halloween Trivia Challenge. This book includes that book, plus about 65 new questions for a total of 132 questions . The new questions provide a fuller picture of Halloween and include new categories about horror movies, scary books, and candy. I was pleased with the first book, and this one is clearly even better.
Halloween is a holiday that is very popular not just among children but also among grown-ups. Many people like Halloween but few people know very much about the history of it. Through trivia questions (and answers) this book explores the history of Halloween from ancient times up to the present.
Halloween is like Christmas and Easter in that it has a pre-Christian history, became part of a Christian holiday, and in the 21st century has a secular twin holiday that is observed by many practicing Christians and non-Christians alike. Many of the secular customs have roots in ancient customs.
This book can be used in a couple of different ways, it can be used to learn about Halloween and it can be used to play a competitive or cooperative group game where one person reads questions and others take turns guessing the answer.
I hope you have as much fun answering these questions as I had researching and writing them!
Good luck!
Jonathan Ozanne
