Reviews for Red Aces

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Considering his vast output, it is odd how few of Wallace's characters figures in series, but J.G. Reeder, an elderly-looking bank detective who encourages criminals to underestimate him, is one, and I am glad of it, because (so fr as I recall) it was a J.G. Reeder story in an anthology that introduced me to Wallace's work --though I had long known his name as a writer of "thrillers." The Reeder stores are not "thrillers' and Reeder is not the young dashing hero, but he is an agreeable detective.
