What Happens in Vegas...
Welcome to the table, sir. You can post the blind to come in next hand or wait ‘til it comes around to you.
I’ll wait, thanks.
She nodded, flashing a courteous smile as she dealt the next hand. The no-limit game practically ran itself, what with the grinders keeping eagle eyes on the tourists who joined in, foolish enough to think they could get their big win at a downtown poker room running a $1-3 blind, $100 buy-in game. It was easy enough work, keeping her head down and pitching cards, and the regulars would be pretty George for an attractive woman with clean dealing mechanics. That meant her attention could wander a bit without incident, and she found herself casting furtive glances at the newcomer, appreciating his shaved head and neatly groomed beard.
Usually she could stay pretty professional, knowing how far to go with banter without it turning into something inappropriate, but when her gaze caught the ring on his right hand, a frisson of recognition swept over her, and her breath caught. The signet was round; inside the circle was a clockwise triskele with black inset between the raised silver lines, and the three dots in the triskele were actual silver-outlined holes.
The next time he pushed his bet out, she leant forward a bit and murmured, tone deliberately casual, I really like your ring. I’d wear something like that, but I’d prefer it on my left hand.
He snapped his head up and met her eyes, his brows high in surprise. When she held his gaze, hers intent, his expression softened into one of slightly dazed understanding, and he dropped his eyes instantly. Thanks. I’ve had it for years now. It means a lot to me.
He flicked his eyes back up to hers, offering a cautious smile in response to her knowing grin as she retorted, Nice.
Unwilling to draw any more attention now that she had established to her satisfaction that the hottie across the table was definitely a sub, she turned her focus back to the game for the rest of the down, only speaking to him if necessary. When the next dealer tapped her out, she stood and thanked the players, vacating the box. Before she could step away, Mr Sexy said, Hey, Eve!
She turned back, and he offered her a redbird, nodding faintly when their fingers touched as she took the $5 chip from him. I hope you’ll push through again before I leave.
Eve quirked an impish smile, and said, Oh, I’m sure I’ll make it through the line-up again before my shift ends at 9:30. Thanks.
He sat down, and she moved to the next table, gut fluttering with the growing certainty that he would definitely be around - but no longer playing cards - when she got off work.

Sure enough, when she went to clock out, she saw him cashing out his chips at the podium. During the other times she had pushed through the table, he had managed to mention that he was staying at a hotel further down Fremont, he was here for four days for business, and he was in a room by himself, all while engaging with her in a discreetly deferent manner. Each bit of information further strengthened her resolve that she would be meeting him for some fun, hopefully more than once. It had been a while since she had played with a sub, and she couldn’t help but get turned on by the thought of dominating someone who wasn’t local and wouldn’t be likely to want to try to turn some fun playing into something more.
She made sure to catch his eye as she sauntered out under the canopy, immersing herself in the constantly moving crowd. She was cautious enough to want for him to find her farther away from her workplace. The last thing
