About this ebook

The Big Gay Soldiers
A soldier is preparing to leave on his most recent assignment when he is given what he thinks is meaningless gift: a phone; but, when hardships come about, he will realize that the unexpected item holds a surprise for him, something he had always dreamed of.
The item opens the door for reflections about his life, what he hopes life will bring him, and whether or not he is willing to seize it.
During his adventure, he will also learn to use every tool at his disposal, and will be given a reward from destiny, while learning from it an important lesson: attraction does not stay hidden forever.
As he discovers all this, a quick show in the middle of the night will open the door for endless possibilities, possibilities that have the potential to change his life forever; most importantly, that will allow him to find love in the most unusual of situations.

Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell

Private Jeffers had seen something that he shouldn’t have while passing the shower room one night.
His own commanding officer was taking advantage of two subordinates.
The scene flashed in the man’s mind until he decided to tell someone, to make things right.
Zack made a report, detailing what he had seen between all three men.
When he was called in to discuss the matter though, he was given the impression that some things are just not said.
Worse yet, his Lieutenant found out about the report and has a special punishment in mind for Zack.
The young man is made to clean every shower house and bathroom on the entire base every night for a week.
One night he notices a smooth-cut hole in the stall and his life changes forever.
The punishment turns into a plan that Zack seems eager to fall right into.

Alpha Decisions

Steven, a soldier, thinks about his life and how he ended up in the military, where he found someone special; but, as time passes, he questions whether or not he still loves his boyfriend, when the relationship continues to be incredibly dull. Always the same conversations, the same drink, even the sex was dull and always involved the same actions.
Steven then ponders whether or not to stay with his boyfriend, and, in turn, begins to spend more time with Dieter, a man he met while on an assignment. In doing this, he notices that even the cold beer that seemed boring to him now tuned into an exciting moment.
There, his emotions go through a rollercoaster that has him facing death itself, as he tries to decide whether to stay on the known path, or travel the new and exciting one.
This decision will take him to depths of his mind that he never thought he would see, and his final choice introduces him to a world of unexpected pleasures.

    The Big Gay Soldiers

I have not had one ever since I enlisted said Rick.

Why not? Will asked, as he showed him a brand new phone.

"I don’t see the use for it.

I believe having a link to the outside world might weaken my resolve in battle" said Rick.

"Well, that could be true, but it could also increase your resolve.

After all, you will always have a reminder of what you fight for".

The military installation was particularly busy that day, as every soldier in sight was rushing towards an objective, preparing gear or receiving orders.

Rick was about to be sent on a mission.

A simple assignment, from what they had told him, but one that demanded extreme care on his part, nonetheless.

    Take it said Will.

Thank you replied Rick, noting that further arguing with Will would not get him anywhere, and would just aggravate him, which would destabilize his mental state and hinder his preparation for the assignment.

Rick put his phone in his pocket, and walked away, as if he had been called by his superiors.

Will stayed behind, looking at him leave.

There was an interesting quality about Will: he was a man you could trust.

Rick had been with him for ages, fighting alongside him, training, suffering through all the tough exercises they were submitted to, and he had always had a word of encouragement ready for whoever needed it.

In most cases, that person in need was Rick.

Will had become quite close to him, not only as a brother in arms, but as something more; something deeper than that.

Rick used to say that if Will ever found himself in need of a left arm, he would gladly give his own, and he would still be incredible indebted to him.

There was something that Will also felt for Rick, aside of the brotherly love, and that was a strong physical attraction.

Maybe it was his sharp nose, or his full lips, or the fact that he sported a pair of arms that appeared to be able to carry a jeep; or maybe, it was the fact that, when Will also needed someone, he had always been there.

On their first week of training, they were tasked with running a circuit.

The assignment was simple enough, and yet, it was demanding as ever.

All the recruits had been running for over three hours now, which meant they had just skipped their second meal, having been denied their supper the night before.

The idea of the training officers was that if a soldier can function at top levels while starving, he could conquer any conflict when in top physical condition.

All that adding to the fact that the recruits needed to build endurance to survive in battle; after all, warzones are not known for their five-star culinary service.

There would be times where the soldiers would need to power through a battle on an empty stomach for days, and they needed to have their bodies used to administering their energy so they would not drop dead.

It may have been an exercise only, but, while running the course, dropping dead in an instant sounded like the sweetest of releases for most of the recruits.

There was a catch to this whole training session, and that was that, if a soldier stayed behind, or stopped running, everybody else had to run an extra ten laps; so on for everyone else who was not running anymore.

If all stopped, the promise of less meals was made, which meant that the exhaustion would continue, a thing the training officer assured would have them faint from exertion, after which he would allow them to rest.

The second idea to the seemingly insane method was for them to learn to work as a team, even if it was in a rough way.

After all, when you are tired and are planning on calling it quits, your action imposes a higher level of expected effort on your teammates.

This was intended for everyone to adjust pace, or give each other encouragement.

They could do anything they desired, as long as they did not stop or abandoned the circuit.

During that time, Will was feeling particularly hazy.

Everything felt as if it was a nightmare that would see him wake up, relieved that he had only been dreaming.

The reality, however, was much grimmer than that.

He had traveled a long distance to join that military group, and had bested the first tests while most applicants fail.

When in line, and at the moment of signing in and putting on the uniform, he was sure that he wanted to be a soldier, not for all the glory or action, but to serve a higher cause.

That was his goal at the beginning, and, while well-rested, it seemed a thing that was attainable with ease.

When running for the fifth day with minimal rest and food, that goal seemed more like a childish dream, and one that had better had been left to videogame players.

Will’s body begged him to stop, and his mind was running out of excuses why he shouldn’t.

There is a small moment in
