    Contrary to popular belief, on a particular day, the earth did not stand still. The naysayers stuck with the idea that something major happened, but had not been defined. To a very select few, the ten minute gap in a twenty-four hour period was the work of God. However, all agreed some time was missing.

    For Ted Wheeler, a heavy sleeper, who relied on an alarm clock to wake up, found himself ten minutes late to work when in fact he knew he should have been ten minutes early. As a matter of fact, most were late that morning; not only at Ted's laboratory, but across the world.

    Dr. Ted Wheeler was a leading geneticist at the Rockwell Institute. For the most part it was private, but lately some heavy grants from the US Science Foundation found its way into the institute.

    In other places around the world, scientists and others were busy resetting their clocks to correct the missing time. High level meeting were the norm on each continent. Therefore, it was after an exhausting search for reason[s] why, daily business regained the spotlight with most of the world returning to normalcy. A few, however, spent most of their time looking for answers. One of those who sought an answer was Dr. Ted Wheeler and his assistant Debra Pierce.
