About this ebook
Surrounded by enemies on all sides, the Samarians fight tooth and nail for their survival. With their one true ally the Heraclids, they hold back the Beast onslaught. With vicious Ogres, Giants and Demons to the northwest, the Samarians are on constant guard for attacks. Luckily the ancient Samarians built a 1000 mile long wall, 800 feet high called "The Gates of Samaria."
Oseki, the city built behind 'The Gates of Samaria', is populated by 50,000 Samarians, 30,000 of which are military. The Beasts attack frequently and recent events point to something much more sinister looming in the horizon.

Glossary
Ora: Ora is an individual's spiritual energy. Most Ora energies manifest in elements, such as fire, water, or wind. It takes dedication and hard work to be able to master it. Most Oras are used for attacks, but the most skilled warriors can use them for defense and attain their Ora's attributes. Ora's range from useful and harmless, to absolutely powerful and devestating.
Ora Attributes: Ora attributes are special abilites that allow an individual to attain a certain trait or attribute of their Ora. Let's take water for example. A highly skilled warrior may be able to take more damage using water's durability attribute. Another example would be Wind. Someone could use Wind to speed up their movements, giving them a huge advantage in battle.
Gozen: Dragon riders who have high levels of Ora abilities. Most Gozen can master up to 2 Oras and are among the most skilled warriors in all of Samaria and the continent of Ester. They are feared and respected but most are kind hearted. Gozen only answer to generals and Lords and can command up to 20,000 soldiers.
Masters of Samaria: Masters are the most powerful warriors in all of Samaria and possibly Ester. They can master up to 3 to 4 Oras and are the ones responsible for training Gozen warriors. They are among the highest regarded/respected people in all of Samaria. Though they look old on the outside, their minds are so powerful and evolved they are faster and more alert than even the most skilled Gozen.
Purge: A purge is when Ora abilities are completely taken out of an individual. Purges are only used on citizens who commit crimes or break the law using their Ora abilities. Gozen and Masters can perform purges and it takes at-least 3 people to perform it. The purge is extremely painful and someone who is purged will have to start from the beginning to build their Ora abilities up again.

Akido ran as fast as he could through the forest, jumping over large tree roots and ducking under low-hanging tree limbs. He could see her sweet little face in his mind and couldn’t believe he had lost track of her. Poor little Yuki, she had wondered off into the wilderness full of nasty creatures, most of which desired nothing more than to kill Humans. Akido glanced back towards the Gate to guess how far away they were and judged they were about fifty miles away.
He gritted his teeth and felt a cold shiver run up his spine as he thought about what would happen if he couldn’t find Yuki, Lord Ateki’s daughter. He jumped between two branches and spun his body around but his long tapered red coat snagged on it and tore a large hole in it. It’s the kind of thing he might normally get irritated by, but at the moment he couldn’t care less about it. All he cared about was finding Yuki and was extremely worried about her. He wasn’t her real brother. He wasn’t even the nicest guy when he had been forced to Oseki, but Yuki became like a little sister to him. He was the protective older brother.
Hrm…
Akido groaned to himself as he ran around through the thick forest area of the wilderness he was in, "I don’t want to get hung, I’ve come so far… Yuki, where are you?!"
His panic only got worse the more the sun went down, getting darker and darker by the second. He spun around as he ran, avoiding hitting a tree. He kept on moving without losing speed but as he ran he glanced over to the side and noticed a group of Ogres off in the distance. Akido skidded to a stop before slamming his back up to a tree, hiding behind it from those nearby monsters. He could almost hear what they were talking about but not from where he stood so Akido carefully shimmied along the tree. He
