About this ebook

Walking Wolf, the orphaned son of white settlers, is found as an infant by a Comanche brave and raised to be a proud warrior. He also happens to be a werewolf.

When he loses control of his darker nature, killing the woman he loves and his best friend, Walking Wolf heads out into the white man’s world to learn more about who—and what—he truly is.

On his journey of self-discovery, he crosses paths with deranged killers, a traveling medicine show, a vampire gunslinger, a fellow werewolf, and historical figures Quanah Parker and Sitting Bull. But of all the dangers he faces, none are as deadly as the bounty hunter known as Witchfinder Jones.

What a great ride!! Walking Wolf, a shape-shifter, is rather immortal and decides to write his memoirs. What unfolds is horrific, darkly comic, touching, clever, an amazing tale of an amazing life. Walking Wolf is adopted by native Americans in the 1800's (just prior to the European genocide) and embraced by his tribe for his amazing ability. He meets vampires, Mormons, and crazy White men as he comes of age. Then he returns to the tribes, trying to help them battle the White man and protect his family. Tragedy ensues (no spoiler there). And then a wicked twist. I read this book breathlessly. Heartily recommended for those who love westerns, native American history, shifter stories, or horror. FANTASTIC.
