    Lightning flashed in the sky as the rain poured down. Thunder boomed around Emily and Frank. It was their wedding night. They had decided it would be best to drive to the cute little B & B where they had met instead of waiting out the storm. They didn’t want to miss their first night together as a couple, and the storm hadn’t been that bad when they left the reception.

    Maybe we should stop and let the storm pass, Frank. Emily’s voice shook a little.

    That might be best. I saw a rest area about a mile back, let’s turn around and head there. He took her hand for a brief moment and squeezed it reassuringly.

    She breathed out in relief, not wanting to tell her new husband just how scared she was.

    As Frank began to turn the car, the wheels didn’t catch the road and the car started to fish-tail. Before they knew it, the car was sliding down the side of the road. The shoulder was soft from all the rain and stopped them before they crashed into the large tree in front of them.

    Whoa… that was scary, huh? Frank laughed it off, trying to make the situation a little better for his obviously frightened wife.

    Yeah. She laughed shakily.

    I’m going to check to see how bad the car’s damaged. I’ll be just a sec. He unbuckled and stepped out into the rain.

    Emily watched the headlights illuminate Frank as he stepped in front of the car. He looked at it and
