Chapter 1: Meeting Grandpa
A bush lantern sat burning lazily in the open air; grandma put some woods underneath the pot to bring out flames to cook the food properly.
Children sat round grandpa as he told them wonderful stories about old times. Grandpa has a captivating aura for telling sweet stories, which made the children to love him a lot.
That was why I loved going to the village with daddy and mummy for Christmas; it was fun sitting and listening to grandpa with rapt attention. His stories are so entertaining that there appears like there are happening before my very eyes.
Once he told me a story and despite mum’ call that supper was ready, I couldn’t get up to eat supper.
‘’I will be going to the farm very early tomorrow so I will limit today’s stories.’’
‘’That is kind of you, grandpa.’’ I said feeling excited to hear stories from grandpa.
‘’Today, I will tell you only animals’ stories.’’
The children sat attentively as he began his stories.

Chapter 2: Birds of a Feather
Once upon a time the Dove and the Eagle were very good friends, they played and hunt insects; they are always seen together and they barely quarrel.
‘’please do you mind coming with me to the field to hunt some insects today?’’ The Eagle pleaded with his grumpy voice.
‘’sure, you know I love to go hunting with you.’’ Replied the Dove
The two birds flew to the field; they had a wonderful time collecting locusts and grasshoppers; they likewise went to the man’s farm to collect some grains since the Dove requested for some.
By the time, the two friends left the farm it was already evening, so they returned to their abode to sleep but promised to meet the next day.
On the morrow, the two had their bath and met in the park as planned. They visited a nearby farm to collect food for breakfast.
‘’I didn’t realised how hungry I was when I went to bed last night until I woke up this morning yawning like a cat.’’
‘’But Eagle, you had a big supper yesterday. It baffles me to hear you are hungry this morning.’’
‘’Sure, I ate a lot but still something was left out; I will show you when we get to the field.’’
Unknown to the Dove what the Eagle meant; the two birds flew a long distance.
