About this ebook

Deep calls unto deep to come and meet with your creator in His Word. Love Himself is calling you to know the unfathomable love He has for you personally. It is here in His Word that He continually imparts His eternal life to your heart. Each day can bring a new beginning as you meet with Him there.

This book is about developing an intimate, deeper walk with God and an abiding relationship through His Word, the Bible. This is illustrated through a simple study of the Old Testament Tabernacle. It is my hope that each believer can come to know God’s heart toward them through the study of the pattern and furnishings in the Tabernacle, which is a type and shadow of who we are and what we have in Christ as New Testament Christians. As there were several levels (rooms) of depth in the Old Testament Tabernacle, this book correlates this with the depth that we can meet with God in His Word. We begin in the “Outer Court” or basic relationship and progress to the “Holy of Holies”, ultimately coming face to face with our Creator and His glory in His Word being transformed from “glory to glory”. My goal for this book is to teach how Christians can become rooted and grounded in God’s Word, and to have a vibrant and living relationship with Him.

    Introduction

    An Invitation

In Luke 14:16-24, Jesus tells a parable about a certain man who invites many to his feast. Although many are invited, many refused to come, so he sends his servants out to the streets to invite the poor, the lame and the maimed, those who are shunned by society. Many came but there was still room so the man instructed his servants to go to the highway and hedges, …that my house may be filled, he said.

The meaning of this scripture passage is very simple. God has prepared a great feast for all who will come and partake of it. He greatly desires for each of us to come and dine on His goodness that is displayed in Jesus Christ, His son. Ephesians 2: 4-5 says, "But God who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ, (by grace are you saved)."

Unlike society, God doesn’t shun anyone but says, Come as you are! Because of the great love that God has for you, He extends an invitation to all who will come and receive the free gift of salvation through faith in Jesus! Acts 2:21 says, "…that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Calling on Jesus and turning to Him with all of your heart is all that God is requiring of you. Receiving eternal salvation is as simple as that. You don’t have to change or be good enough to come to Him, that’’s why Jesus came to us. When you place your faith in Him completely, He will change you on the inside and cause you to be born-again becoming a new creation in Christ. Jesus has already provided a robe of righteousness (which is right standing with God), if you will trust in Him.

God is reaching out to you. As a matter of fact, God was in Christ Jesus reconciling the world unto Himself. But that’s not all; the Bible declares that God wants to show His love for us, and His goodness and grace throughout all eternity! God wants each one of us to experience His goodness and grace throughout all eternity! He wants to show us these things in His Word. God is calling each one of us to meet with Him in His Word – to feast on all His promises and to intimately get to know Him.

As believers, we must learn to walk with God daily. God has called us into a living and vibrant relationship with Him, but it will only come through His Word. God is the giver of life. He is LIFE! Life therefore, comes through His Word. (John 1: 1-4)

We must approach His Word realizing who God is: He is love. He loved us first and reached out first (John 3:16). This gives us confidence to approach His Word, and in His Word we will come to know the Great I AM, El Shaddai, our healer, and our all provider! It’s in God’s Word that we can come face to face with the Savior and as a result, we will be changed from glory to glory.

However, it takes heart preparation to enter into the fellowship of His Word. Yet, God has given us a way through our faith in Jesus to do this. All that we do
