About this ebook
Walking the Blue skies is an anthology of poems about life and environment which touches us in so many ways. These poems record and respond to simple themes and subjects; there for a moment, a fleeting second, a footprint in the sand; or the essence of a perfect day in which memories are forged and last forever. For those who enjoy reading poetry ‘Walking the Blue Skies’ offers a personal perspective on the commonplace. How many of us take the time to enjoy, to watch, to listen, to experience the world around us? We should all find a space in our chaotic lives to pause for a while. These poems represent a selection of such pauses in my life and I hope you enjoy them.

V.J. Male started writing as soon as a story could be held in her head. An encouraging teacher, in primary school, wrote ideas and stories from her pupils, in a notebook. All were saved for individual students to work up into stories at a later stage. An interest in writing and telling stories encouraged in those early years remained. Plays, poems and stories for schools and became an integral part of work in the advisory service. These days she is never far from a recording device when she is not working on the family farm or teaching.Currently, she is editing the first book in a series on puppetry, finishing off one play and writing a novel and several short stories.
