There are many reasons why Dachshunds end up with various rescue groups. More often than not it is because of housebreaking issues; Dachshunds, especially males, can be quite stubborn and difficult to house-break. Sometimes the dogs are owner-surrendered due to circumstances beyond their control or a forced surrender for hoarding, abuse and/or neglect. Sometimes the dogs are abandoned; that is the case in this story.
