About this ebook

It's Halloween and Lucy's husband Graham has once again disappeared with his red haired mistress. But, before Odessa's rendezvous with her beloved, she does the unthinkable and takes her daughter–the child fathered by Graham– trick-or-treating at Lucy's house.

Lucy is a distraught until she gets another unexpected knock on her door. It's Mark Lewis, her husband's co-worker and the one man she's never been able to resist.

What's the harm in just one more illicit night with Mark? Lucy deserves that much, or does she?

Jezebel Jorge

Jezebel Jorge is a practicing witch, medium, and a Reiki 2 light worker. She likes to have her genre described as Witch Lit - Sizzle and spice and some things Not so Nice. Unlike most authors, the Voices running amok inside her head are sometimes spirits reaching out to tell their stories from the other side. Ghosts like to embellish just as the living, but there is usually a bit of truth entwined within her fictional stories. Jezebel uses over twenty years of being around the inner workings of the wrestling business to make the pro wrestlers in her Ring Dreams series jump right off the page and into the squared circle. She takes you behind the curtain, immersing her readers in an industry where the truth is often stranger than fiction. She lives in Nashville, TN with a spoiled rotten Golden Retriever / Great Pyrenees mix named Harry Potter and Odessa, a very vocal Spirit Guide with an affinity for snakes.

    Message from Odessa

While my name is on the cover, this is not really one of my stories. I’m warning you now not to expect my usual uninhibitedness or what some refer to as my, ‘potty mouth’. In Illicit I am merely the red haired mistress across the water.

This story was channeled to my human by another spirit. Lucy was the wife of my beloved Graham. We’ve decided to let her speak to balance out our tawdry little love triangle.

My side of the story can be found in the other books from our series labeled, Odessa’s Stories:

I forgot to tell you I’m going to stay over with Don tonight and make the rest of the towns from there, Graham said, his voice heavy with deceit.

Okay, Lucy replied, furiously clicking her freshly manicured nails against the headset of the phone.

She didn’t for one second believe her husband’s obvious lie. She’d packed his gear bag that morning with just his wrestling trunks, boots, knee pads, and a nice clean towel. She knew good and well that he didn’t even have a change of underwear with him in Jacksonville and he wasn’t going to be borrowing a clean pair of briefs from his buddy Don. He might as well have just come right out and admitted he was running off to spend the weekend with his mistress.

When will you be home, she asked.

Probably late Sunday evening or maybe Monday morning. I’ve got some business to attend to with the Atlanta office, so I’m going to make their TV taping Saturday morning.

Oh, really, she said, knowing good and well he wasn’t going to fly to Atlanta when he didn’t get paid for working TV matches. She’d picked up enough about the business over the years to at least know that much about how things worked.

I’m not going to wrestle, he added, quickly covering his tracks. I doubt I’ll even be on camera. I’m just going to fly up with Dean, and… his voice trailed off.

Fuck that little red haired trollop all weekend.

Take care of some stuff with the office.

Lucy swallowed down her anger and as calm as could be stated, I’ve got to go. There’s another trick-or-treater at the door.

    Alright then. Good night.

Maybe for you. And that damn red haired floozie on the other side of the bay. Let her wash his underwear for all I care.

It wasn’t until she hung up the phone that she realized that neither of then had bothered to end the call with their typical, I love you, mumblings.

Fine… considering that she felt anything but, and as much as she wanted not to care, she did. She cared very deeply that one of these days her husband of almost twenty-four years wasn’t going to bother calling to tell her he wouldn’t be coming home anymore. She knew he’d been carrying on with that other woman for a good ten years now. It wasn’t any secret that he had a child with her.

Lucy tore open one of the better chocolate treats and savored every bite of the thin mint. Those things were too good to be given out to kids. She helped herself to another candy and then moved the rest of decadent mints from the treat bowl to the coffee table before going to answer the now really ringing doorbell.

The kids, and she used that word generously, looked almost as old as her now married son. She dropped a single tootsie roll into each of their paper bags. The boys politely thanked her from behind their dime story plastic masks and turned to leave.

    Wait, she called
