This collection of one-character bible skits was the result of many years teaching children in parks and classrooms. As a nurse, missionary and writer, Glenda Kuhn realized a need for simple lessons so children can have a fun memorable learning experience. In addition to this collection, Glenda Kuhn has authored “Delilah Dances – One step at a time,” a lesson in perseverance; “Aliyah Likes Being a Giraffe – A lesson in self-acceptance”, ; and “Let’s Be Friends – A Jungle Legend”. She has also authored many newsletters, manuscripts, and poems. Glenda Kuhn directs Grace Missionary Society (gracego.com). Along with her husband, Donnie Kuhn, she has managed businesses and raised two sons. The Kuhns have five granddaughters.

Introduction
Gone by the way of flannel graph, puppetry has almost ceased as a method of Christian ministry to children. Puppet stages can be clumsy. Then, where do you find the handyman who will build a stage that will fit the space in a classroom and leave room for the puppeteers? Curtains across doorways on spring rods tend to fall right in the middle of making the point. Then, there is the problem of finding two or three people to gather behind the stage or curtain and play the parts without stepping on toes, literally.
Ten One-Character Bible Based Lessons for Children was developed to avoid the problems associated with traditional puppet shows and use of electronics. Born from necessity for doing park and street ministry, these lessons have inspired thousands of children. No stage is needed for these lessons, but could be used if it suits the situation. A microphone is a plus in a large setting. One costume or character along with a teacher or director is enough. A costume can be as simple as baggy pants and a funny hat. If a human character is used, a mime (or silent) character is suggested. These lessons can be adapted to any character, anywhere, any time.
For purposes in this collection, a dog character was used with a primary teacher/director. A ‘supporting character’ is a character that
