You are a bitch. I couldn’t help but laugh at that. I knew it was wrong and it seemed to make him angrier but I said, You knew that from day one. I don’t know why you’re surprised. I grabbed the rest of my stuff from his apartment. I didn’t really want a scene but he was making one anyway. I thought about leaving my stuff, it wasn’t that much anyway. It’s not like I lived here. All I knew is that I was over this situation with him. I was bored. He was definitely boring. I grabbed the last of my stuff and shoved it in my bag and headed for the door. He moved to block it. I raised my eyebrows at him and said, You might want to move. Not until you tell me why? I sighed. We had already gone over this but I said, Because I am moving on. I told you on that first day that you shouldn’t catch feelings for me. I don’t like relationships. Now let me go. He grabbed my arm and said, I won’t let you leave. I remained calm. I wanted to punch him in the nose at this point but I just said, Let me go. I was starting to question my judgment on why I even hooked up with him in the first place. Yes, he was cute, had a nice body, funny sometimes, but this was ridiculous.

He started pushing me backwards. I finally lost my patience and stomped hard on his foot with my heel. Oh, you fucking bitch. He grabbed his foot and then tried to grab me again but I moved around him and got out the door. I heard him yelling to come back. I moved faster away from his apartment and ran smack dab into something hard, so hard that it knocked the breath out of me. I looked straight and realized it was a chest I ran into. I followed the chest up and kept looking up. Damn, this person was tall. He had to be about 6’5. I finally reached his face and saw the most piercing blue eyes. I felt his hands on my arms as if he was steadying me. He had a small smirk on his face like he was amused with me. I finally found my voice and said, I’m so sorry. I didn’t see you. I heard Ryan coming up behind me, saying, Kris, get back in here so we can talk. Who are you? I rolled my eyes and said, Ryan, get over it. We are done. You know why, now move on.

The stranger kept his hands on my arms and I finally looked back at him. He was looking over my head at Ryan. I took the time to study his face. He had black hair and a tanned complexion. He had a strong jawline and he was probably the sexiest man I had ever seen. He had stubble on his face which made him even sexier. He seemed to notice me staring at him and he smirked again. Ryan came closer and said, Get your hands off my girlfriend. The stranger raised one eyebrow and finally spoke, It appears that she isn’t your girlfriend anymore. He had the deepest voice. It shot straight through to my stomach and lower. I almost lost my breath again just from hearing him speak. I finally said, I never was his girlfriend.

Ryan moved to grab me again when the stranger quickly moved me behind him. I was surprised at the move since it happened so fast. The stranger said, Man, this isn’t doing you any good or gaining you any points with her. She seems like her mind is made up. Ryan scowled and said, What the fuck do you know? I wish I could see the facial expression on the stranger but I couldn’t see him. I could only see Ryan. The stranger said, Obviously more than you. I finally said, Ryan, go back into your apartment and move on. Go out tonight, get laid. Maybe it will help. He growled at me and started to get to me when the stranger just pushed him back a little. It didn’t even look like he pushed him hard but Ryan went sprawling back into some bushes. I almost burst out laughing at the sight but I had to compose myself because I knew that wouldn’t help. It would just make him angrier. The stranger said, You should never put your hands on a lady in anger. Didn’t your mom raise you better? Ryan jumped up and started charging at the stranger and he sidestepped him. Ryan finally said, Fine, you take her. She is a bitch anyway. He stormed back into his apartment.

The stranger turned towards me and I said, Thank you for your help. He didn’t want to let me go. He nodded and said, I can see why. Are you alright? I nodded at him and said, I’m fine. I’m just glad to be rid of him. I’m Kristine, everyone calls me Kris. I put my hand out and he took it. His hand engulfed mine. It was so much bigger. His hands were rough like he worked with them. I took a moment to think about his hands on my body. I almost shivered as he said, I’m Chase. I even thought his name was sexy. I was seriously losing it. I grabbed my bag and said, It was nice meeting you Chase. Too bad it was under such strange circumstances. I had to get out of there. I was wondering if Ryan was going to
