Introduction
If including Christ in your vacation plans is a new concept, you have no idea what you’ve been missing.
A vacation presents the perfect opportunity to deepen your relationship with Jesus. You could return home from your trip with more than a few cheap souvenirs. You could be transformed.
The Christian’s Travel Journal for Italy is designed to keep you engaged in your relationship with Christ as you experience one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
Travel Journal Layout
Most guidebooks offer basic historical data. The Christian’s Travel Journal for Italy supplements guidebooks by sharing stories behind the history, linking them to truths found in Scripture, and connecting them with real-life applications.
Each chapter focuses on a different historical site and introduces facts you won’t find in a traditional guidebook. At the end of each chapter are two Action Points that will help you apply the lessons learned so you won’t forget your experience.
The Journal section provides prompts and blank lines to help you document your thoughts and activities each day.
If you are a Christian, this devotional will enable you to engage more fully with the one who made everything you are about to experience. It can help you grow closer to your travel companions and to Christ.
If you aren’t sure whether or not you know Jesus, I invite you to read the Reality chapter at the end of the book. I pray you will make Jesus the Lord of your life every single day and night—whether on vacation or at home. It’s the most important decision you’ll ever make.
How to Use the Travel Journal
I recommend taking this journal with you to every site you visit and reading each story before and/or during your experience there. The hard-copy version is thin enough to fit in your back pocket.
