Our conversation is about mysterious places, monsters and the Count Dracula. I know a lot of you are familiar with the Dracula movies with Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney Jr. and those kinds of things. Is that Hollywood fantasy? Is that something just for our entertainment? Or, do vampires really exist? We’re going to answer that question. Ed, I’d like to ask you about vampires just to start right off. Are there such things as vampires, and can you tell me an example of one?

Positively, vampires do exist. They are what we call human vampires. The human vampire is a person who hallucinates, imagines himself as a vampire and takes on that role. These are not the true Hollywood type of vampire. There are cases such as the Calbani case back in 1953 in an old Greenwich farm family cemetery. The Calbani family had to open up a grave. A family member had died and they were saving a little money by digging the graves themselves. When they got out about four feet, they struck a coffin
