Cheri Walston uses her own experiences, God-given talents, and big vision to inspire women to become all they were created to be. Through her inspired words, she calls women to take courageous action to live a fulfilling life of personal ownership, replacing fear with faith. Creating a vision, taking steps with confidence and a can do
attitude, and living out an Exit Strategy are central themes that Cheri uses to challenge our thinking, our actions, and our journey.

Cherri Walston has a gift for pulling women out of the routine-ness of busy lives toward the passions that quietly brew in our hearts. Cherri writes in a voice that nearly every working woman can relate to, telling stories that resonate with us all. But her guidance doesn’t end with feel good quotes and inspiration. Cherri Walston has written a book that I wish I had in my hands before I started my entrepreneurial journey. It is informative and straightforward. You will be able to turn the pages of her book and develop an outstanding exit strategy. You will hear Cherri's care and concern as you delve into the book. She is truly a coach who has been custom designed to show you how to transition from working for someone else to working for yourself. I wholeheartedly endorse HER Exit Strategy. It is indeed a book that should be on bookshelves in homes, libraries and bookstores for years to come.

In HER Exit Strategy, Cherri Walston has fashioned a gem by marrying the wisdom extracted from both her personal and professional experiences. The work’s conversational tone makes the reader feel as if she is talking with a dear friend over coffee about how to translate the vision and passion within her into an outward expression. Cherri Walston’s ardent charge to women to become Chairwoman of their own lives is life-changing. This book is a must read for women who desire to abandon the self-debilitating behaviors and patterns of thinking which have precluded them from their divine appointment.

Dedication
This book is dedicated in loving memory of my dearest friend, Jocelyn Hollowell, who inspired me to reach for the stars. She left a lasting legacy and impression on my heart for the joy of life and taught me to never stop striving for the best. I still feel her spirit guiding me and encouraging me to go for it. I love and miss her dearly.
To my mother, Evelyn Walston, who is the most courageous and victorious woman I know, had a vision for a better life and pursued it. Thank you for being a role model for what a woman can achieve when she puts her mind to it.
To the most amazing brother a sister could ever wish for, James Walston: You have been like the captain of my ship, helping me navigate and find my way when I wasn’t sure where I needed to go. You’ve always believed in me, encouraged me, and I am blessed to be your big sister.
To my nieces, Jamie and Jayla, and nephews, Jaden and Justice, I’m proud to be your Aunt ReeRee!

About the Author
Foreword by Becky A. Davis
Every professional woman needs an exit strategy. What is an exit strategy? It’s a well-thought out tactical plan that prepares you for making your next career move and gives you control over your career and life, no matter what happens next. Companies wouldn’t allow a division, department, or company to simply run along aimlessly without a forward-focused business plan that includes several contingency scenarios. The same should be true for you. If you don’t have an exit strategy, you’re effectively abandoning control of your life and career, leaving your future flapping in the wind.
After the economic downturn in 2008, the realization set in that you could have a job today and it could be gone tomorrow. Are you prepared if you lost your job tomorrow? Most people are not.
Only 4.8% of Fortune 500 CEOs are women, though women have been consistently launching businesses at nearly twice the rate of men. As important, their growth in employment and revenues has continued to outpace the economy. Women-owned businesses are already serious players in this nation’s economy.
So many women hate their jobs and would love to start their own business, but they are afraid because they don’t know where to start or even how to start. I worked in Corporate America for over 20 years, but always had a desire to live my dreams of speaking and motivating people all over the world. It wasn’t until my company got a new CEO and I started working for another one of our brands that I saw an unfamiliar shift in the culture. It was a shift that created an environment where people quite often felt threatened of losing their
