In this wonderful picture book, a child is missing a critical item, and instead is stuck with something worse than useless. - Alberto needs a bathing suit to enjoy his book - instead he's stuck with an alligator. Poor Benoît does have a bathing suit, but it no use to him when he's trying to play the clarinet! This is a clever and entertaining concept - but the book goes much further. On each page, the kid's situation is illustrated in hilarious detail, one lad is lacking a slipper in his audition for the school play - 'Cinderfella'. There's a great deal of fun to be had in picking out the small details in eahc picture. Also, the relevant letter is hidden somewhere in the picture - some are easy to find, but some are very tricky to spot.
