This is the last book in the series...love the title 1225 Christmas Tree Lane. She did have one Christmas story in the middle of the series that was much better than this book.Okay, so I did not care for this book. It tried to incorporate all the characters from the previous books but I didn't think she did a very good job with it. It was hard to get into the story and stay with the story. I was lost in the beginning of the book, thinking who is this, what is going on? After a few chapters, it was okay I remember this and that, but still it was slow going.The main story line was about Beth, who moved to Christmas Tree Lane and took over a Christmas tree business from the previous owner. Her two collage aged daughters decide to visit for Christmas and invite their dad, Beth's ex-husband, to celebrate the holiday with them. However, the girls tell Beth one story and their dad another...but dad shows up with a young bimbo...how could he? After all the girls are trying to get their parents back together. Beth, however has a basket full of puppies, 10 in all, she needs to get rid of before Christmas and is very busy this time of the year. Will their parents get back together? 1225 Christmas Tree Lane by Debbie MacomberThe last book in the Cedar Cove series, it's not a bad thing as the characters willprobably show up in other books. Sad to see the series end but this means also thata new series will start.Love summary of people at the beginning of the book, always a nice reference if you get lost along the way.Think we are starting on 4th generation of some families, it's such a lovely bunch of caringpeople.This story focuses on Beth, divorced for several years now who runs the local christmas tree farm and sells wreaths and garland and other decorationsand her daughters have returned from college are there to celebrate with her and will all go skiing at Whistler Mountain in Canada after Christmas.The story dates back to when the girls parents met in college and other events in their lives.They also have invited their father who can stay at the Bed and Breakfast Inn but spend time with them over the holidays.Beth has been seeing the local vet, Ted and they get along. Beth finds 10 puppies on her doorstep a few days ago and is not sure how she can keep themall.The girls father, Kent also brought someone with him for the holiday.Every family in this series is having a Christmas dinner with family or friends and each one now shares a special link to everybody else.Food described at various houses sounds like heaven, can't wait for those recipes.There is also a Cedar Cove Christmas Recipes Book under separate cover.

Very nice conclusion to the Cedar Cove series. Beth moved to Cedar Cove after her divorce three years earlier and took over the Christmas tree farm. Things are going very well and she's looking forward to her college age daughters visiting for the holidays. She has a nice friendship going with the local vet and the potential for it to be more.But things are getting a little stressful. Someone left her a basket of ten puppies that she needs to find homes for before Christmas. And her daughters have invited their father to Cedar Cove to spend Christmas with them, with the intent of getting them back together.The main plot of the reunion between Beth and Kent was very nicely done. The more she thinks about seeing him again, the more Beth realizes that she regrets their divorce. She wishes she had tried harder to save their marriage. She's just starting to get excited about seeing him again, when Kent arrives with another woman. This brings her dreams to a screeching halt. Something seems a little off, though, as Danielle is the complete opposite of the type of woman Kent would care for. There also doesn't seem to be much affection displayed between them. It was sometimes fun and sometimes painful to see the way the two girls tried to push Beth and Kent together while at the same time keeping Danielle away. When they were together their feelings were obvious to others but not necessarily to them. I loved seeing the way that they reconnected as they reminisced and got to the point where they could talk about what went wrong. There was an interesting twist involving Danielle at the end.The rest of the book was made up of visits with previous characters from the books. I enjoyed seeing where each of them is now. It was fun seeing the ones who decided to get puppies from Beth. I also liked catching up with the ones who had potential romances in the works and see if they panned out. I will miss the Cedar Cove series, but will eventually read the new series that takes place there.

Well, I hate to see this series end. Not entirely sure how to feel about this book.
You get to know the entire town throughout the series and fall in love with the characters.


This book just felt like a recap of the first 11 books in the series with just an added family storyline.

Still can't wait to see what Debbie Macomber has next. She's a wonderful author and will always read and suggest her to my patrons at the library.

A light read and the last in the Cedar Cove series (have not read them all or in the series order) as a recap of the characters to celebrate Christmas. Beth has a small Christmas tree farm with a relationship with vet Ted; however, someone has left puppies on her doorstep, so she has to find homes. Her daughters have invited their dad (her ex-husband) to Cedar Cove for Christmas – as always lots of drama, romance, and schemes as you are updated with all the latest gossip.

I finished reading 1105 Yakima Street on December 9, 2012, and I thought that was the last book in the Cedar Cove series. I was so delighted to learn there was another novel to read (especially after the cancellation of the Cedar Cove stories on the Hallmark channel that so wonderfully expressed the characterizations and setting created by Debbie Macomber for the series fans and to introduce author Debbie Macomber to potential new fans). How exquisite to have the last novel in the series celebrate the neighborhood of Cedar Cove and with the delightful title conveying Beth Morehouse's address of 1225 Christmas Tree Lane for her life on a Christmas Tree farm.

Without a doubt, Debbie Macomber packed as many 'catch-ups' of everyone in the Cedar Cove series family into this novel and so might seem a little overwhelming if someone is reading this novel as a stand-alone but it's a wonderful treat - like a 'surround-sound' for series fans of the magical Cedar Cove at Christmas.

With a bonus story of "Let it Snow" it is truly a comfy few hours of reading bliss during the Christmas season. Thank you Debbie Macomber!

And to all a good night for reading Christmas stories that warm the heart, revive the soul, and share friendship, love, and good tidings for all. Merry Christmas.

A fitting end to a wonderful series. The main focus of this story is the scheme of Beth Morehouse's daughters to get her and her ex-husband back together. Taking place during the Christmas season, Beth's daughters believe it is the perfect time for reconciliation, and invite him to spend Christmas with the trio. In addition to this story, we get to have a final visit with each of the main characters focused on in the previous books.

As mentioned, this is the last book in the Cedar Cove series. I will definitely miss them. Over the years I have grown to love these characters and am sad to see the end.

Wow I definitely have to go back and read the ones I missed in the series, because I didn’t know who some of the players were.

What a wonderful Christmas story from Macomber again as usual. Beth is overwhelmed with Christmas her daughters have invited her ex-huband telling him that Beth wanted him to come. They tell their mother of course that it was their dad that wanted to come.

If that wasn’t stressful enough – she has 10 puppies that she must find homes for before Christmas
What Beth doesn’t expect is that there is a woman that comes with her ex. Beth has to deal her feeling of still loving her husband, but feels he’s moved on.

Not to worry there is a Christmas Miracle. Of course all the puppies find wonderful homes. And dreams do come true as far as Beth and her ex Kent are concern.

A little Christmas in July? Well, I had a hard time finishing this book. I have read many of Debbie Macomber's novels. I read the entire Cedar Cove series in fact. I had read one of the books, and out of order, or on their own, I wouldn't recommend you read them. It wasn't until I read the entire series, in the correct order that I liked this series to book 11. Then this book, I found it slow starting, and most of it was like watching a rerun of a television show. I was skipping through paragraph after paragraph of things I already knew/read in previous books to get to small pieces of a new story added in. In my opinion the series could have ended with book 11.

Fiction; Romance/Christmas3 starsHaving not read the Cedar Cove series, I picked up this book not realizing it was the last one in a series and thought it could be read independently. Gosh, was I mistaken. It is a lovely story, don’t get me wrong. But there are so many characters highlighted in the book that I got a little overwhelmed by who everyone was. It didn’t take me long to figure out that these many characters must have gotten together throughout the series and then brought together in this final ‘reunion’ book.1225 Christmas Tree Lane focuses on a the character of Beth Morehouse who is a dog trainer. Finding a box of puppies on her doorstep sets the stage for several events that bring the community of Cedar Cove together, including Beth’s ex-husband, Kent. Again, there must have been a history of these two characters in previous books that I obviously was missing out on to understand the full effect of their relationship.This book was not full of exaggerated detail about any one person or couple (I assume that happened in the rest of the series) but was an overall wrap up of each of their stories. Again, not having read the other books, I found my connection to the characters weak.This book did however intrigue me enough that I bought all of the books so I can start at the beginning and revisit this title again at a later date when it will probably make more sense.

In this final installment of the Cedar Cove series, Beth's daughters arrange for their father to spend Christmas with them. They are hoping that Beth and Kent will reunite. Beth finds ten puppies on her doorstep. She must find homes for all of them. We get to revisit most of the characters of the previous installments in the series in this final Christmas installment. I've only read a few of the books in the series, mostly the Christmas books, but I've enjoyed the ones I have read. I can understand why longtime fans of the series will be sad to see it end.

Debbie Macomber writes wonderful romances with an involving immediacy of characterizations. She makes the people very real for the reader and quickly draws you into the story line. I read "1225 Christmas Tree Lane" all in one sitting because I really wanted to know the outcome of the reunion romance between Beth Morehouse and her former husband, Kent. Their determined matchmaking daughters, Bailey and Sophie, have one goal in mind: getting their mom and dad back together! Beth runs a Christmas tree farm, and in addition to her scheming daughters, the impending arrival of her ex-husband, and the hustle and bustle of selling Christmas trees, she has to find homes for ten abandoned puppies! Placing those precious pups in the proper places is the perfect way for all of the residents of Cedar Cove to once again touch base. As the final line in the book says: "It was the kind of town anyone would love to call home." Brava! Thank you, Debbie!

A long time in the making, Cedar Cove and it’s residents are saying good-bye to long time readers. 1225 Christmas Lane is the final chapter in Debbie Macomber’s popular series that’s filled with love, hope, heart and friendship. With characters that feel like home and romances that build a compelling tension, this is certainly a series many readers will simply want to cozy up with.I’m no stranger to Debbie Macomber’s writing. Having read many of her earlier novels as well as numerous short stories she’s written I’m a big fan. Macomber writes in such a way that has you feeling as though you need a nice cup of hot chocolate, a warm blanket and a slightly chilly day to snuggle in for a day of relaxing reading. It’s wonderful! Her latest addition is no different. 1225 Christmas Lane was a cozy read perfect for a chilly wintry day, but it may not be perfect for everyone. Unfortunately for me it didn’t hold up to my normal expectations I have for a great Macomber novel, but it was still an enjoyable and quick read.Being that it’s the last in the series of twelve books I must say, you need to read the other books in the series before reading this one. There are some series books that you can easily pick up a mid-series read and feel comfortable moving from that point but this isn’t one of those. In my case I was given a review copy to read without having read the others in the series. Many times I felt disoriented about where exactly I was in the story and which character was being focused on. Not only that, but quite a bit of the chapters felt choppy. In some cases I felt as though there was simply too much description in relation to the actual dialogue and setting. All of that being said, I still enjoyed the characters and if the time opens up for me I’d like to attempt a read through from the beginning of the series because it’s obviously a popular series for a reason.If you’re a Debbie Macomber fan or have read any of her other novels outside of her Cedar Cove series than this is certainly one you should be picking up soon. 1225 Christmas Lane is the final book in that series and it closes years of time spent with a wonderful cast of characters who will quickly begin to feel like family. Though I loved the concept of the potential reuniting of old flames and of course the added benefit of nearly a dozen adorable puppies, this wasn’t the right book to start off the series with. Those readers looking for a cozy romantic series filled with characters that will remind you of home should definitely pick up Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cover series, but make sure to begin with the first book in the series, 16 Lighthouse Road, before reading this one. In the 12th (and last) book in the Cedar Cove Series, Macomber brings readers a light read for the holiday season. Bailey and Sophie are trying to reunite their parents, Beth and Kent, during Christmas. Beth and Kent were always focused on their girls while they were married, but once the girls left home, the marriage fell apart. Bailey and Sophie are determined to bring them together despite obstacles such as both parents seem to be dating and they live in different cities. If this is your first Cedar Cove book, Macomber has included a list of who's who in Cedar Cover - very helpful, even for the seasoned Cedar Cover reader!

In this final chapter in her Cedar Grove series, we feel like we are getting a Norman Rockwell Christmas and a Hallmark greeting card all rolled up in Mom's apple pie crust. I have been a faithful fan until the end. It was difficult to say goodbye after these characters have twined themselves around your heart.Debbie Macomber didn't let her fans down. She didn't rush to a quick finish to her beloved series. She not only provided a great story; she also was able to tie all her previous characters into the final book.This book focuses on Beth,a divorcee who owns the local Christmas tree farm. In the last book found 10 adorable puppies on her front porch.. Now to find loving homes for all of them. Well don't fret, the gang in Cedar Cove comes to the rescue. Well, if this wasn't enough, it is Christmas time in Cedar Cove and Beth's daughters come to spend the holiday. And, they invited their father.. the two girls plan on reuniting their parents.It was sad to get to the final pages, maybe Debbie Macomber can write some new stories on the children of Cedar Cove, her loyal fans can only hope..

Well, it's been many years since Debbie Macomber invited us to Cedar Cove and I have enjoyed all of the stories it held. This last Christmas story is a fitting finale to this series. Beth Morehouse, who owns the local Christmas tree farm, also has a habit of finding strays and in this case, it's a basket of puppies that need homes by Christmas. As word spreads around town and people visit the tree farm for their own Christmas trees, we get one last glimpse and follow up of many of my favorite characters from the series. It was a great way to touch base with so many inhabitants of Cedar Cove.

This is part of series where the story was based in Cedar Cove and is the final part of the series. Although i have not read the earlier part of the series before, i will definitely be looking for them after reading thru this book. The story of the people living in Cedar Cove written by the author in this part of the book give me a cosy feeling of all close knit these people are and i couldnt help to wonder what happened to these people as mentioned in this book.In this final installation, it is the story of Beth and her ex-husband Kent who comes to visit on Christmas on instigation by their daughters; Bailey and Sophie. Both of them divorced three years ago due to their stubborness and their daughters was desperate to get them realised that the divorce was a mistake and for them to reconcile. Hence, they bluffed their way thru to get them together but was surprised when their father arrived at their mother's doorstep with a girlfriend.I like the way the story unfolded. Althought i find it difficult at times to follow the character's story [there are just too many of them and for someone who only read the first book now, it is a little of a job to follow them] but i like the way the author narrate the story of each of the character. I find it jived with each of the characters and that it was connected between chapters of the book without having us as the reader to rethink back of the past scene.

Its sad to say goodbye Cedar Cove after all this time. I have read almost everyone of the books and never felt disappointed in them. I love how after thier story ends you still see most of characters in thier routine lives. With the addresses letting everyone know what order the books are in is clever too.Beth 3 years ago divorced her husband and moved to Cedar Cove from california. Beth bought a Christmas tree farm. She also rescues animals and find them a good home. Started a program with dogs and senior citizens also started a program to take dogs to library.In the last book she found homes for 4 dogs and delivered to her door was a basketfull of Puppies 10. Beth is overwhelmed too top off busy time of year for christmas tree farm her exhusband is planning to spend christmas with her two college girls. Beth has not seen her exhusband in three years.Thier marrage just drifted apart into seperate lives and they noticed when the girls moved out for college.Beth is going sking with her daughters after christmas so she has set a goal to find them all a good home. So talking people seeing who wants a puppy, we get to see and get a update on how everyone is doing.When Kent shows up at her home beth has been thinking a lot about how her marriage ended also all the times in between. She has been looking forward to seeing Kent again and maybe to see if their is away back together. But Kent is not alone he has brought a young lady with him Daniel. Beth is very disappointed and her daughters are mad that he is ruining thier plans to get their parents back together.Cedar Cove is a charming town. This book almost makes me want a puppie. But two dogs and a cat are enough for me. If you have read and enjoyed any of her cedar cove books you will want to read this one.I was given this book in exchange of honest review.
