My Little Book of Big Bugbears - P A Hayden
FOREWORD
I truly believe that if something really annoys you, I mean REALLY gets on your nerves then the answer is simple –
Make fun of it and smile you miserable buggers!!
THE LIST!
Other people, you know who you are!
The horror that is Monday mornings......
Lists.......yes I see the irony!
Shopping, ten poems or less.
Television – The good, the bad and the surgically enhanced.
Age and my many years experiencing it.
Me! No one is safe!
Pet Peeves – Yes I’m attacking the animals, with words only, don’t call the RSPCA.
My serious side. I have one!
The pages of positive. That’s right I said positive....what of it? Am I the only who hates it when things don’t end on a high?
Other people!
The Loud Speaker
He bellows out each word in tow,
The volume used is never low.
I ask you is there any need,
To make my eardrums thump and bleed?
The words echo for half an hour.
So loud we all start to cower.
A verse that makes a building shake,
Stop his chatter for our own sake!
To halt this we must stand our ground,
But all he can hear is his own sound.
We have little chance of getting through,
There‘s only one thing left to do.
It’s either this or it’s our ears,
WILL YOU SHUT UP PLEASE......cheers!
THE MUMBLER
The mumbler may,
Have words ready to say,
But they
