About this ebook

Widowed mother Emma Barlow knows her shy, studious son needs a male influence. And where better to find him than in the mentoring ministry at their local church? But when the new chief of police becomes her son's mentor, Emma is worried. As the widow of a fallen officer, she's nervous about letting a lawman into their lives. Especially one as handsome—and conflicted—as Jake Sutton. But when her son comes out of his shell, and even Emma finds herself smiling, she knows that love just might find a home in Mirror Lake…and create a new family.

This book in the Mirror Lake series centers around Quinn and Abby. Abby is the sister of Alex, who is head of the famous Proter Hotels. Quinn left Mirror Lake years ago and thought he had put the town behind him. Quinn finds himself out of a job just as his extranged father becomes ill and dies. Instead of selling his father's business and home, Quinn finds himself once again living in Mirror Lake and trying to save the business his father seemed bound to destroy. Taking a side job to secretly protect Abby from a possible threat, Quinn tells himself he will keep his distance. Unfortunatly, he never told his heart about that decision.
