About this ebook

'He knew that what he was doing was the worst of all bad ideas'.

Two teenagers, Khalan Zhal, an Alasoran of Alasa and Jane Zhal, his Earthoran foster sister, given up by her mother on Earth and brought to Alasa by Khalan's mother, Jaela, are transported to Ahalla, a world belonging to another universe by the mysterious Elaeus. At Ahalla, they meet Khaius Zalok, another Alasoran teen who, like Khalan and Jane, has been brought to the world by Elaeus. Why has Elaeus brought them there? Because of the powers they possess and because the Vampires of their world and their leader, the Dominion Lord and Vampire Elder, the Spider Lord want Khalan, Jane and Khaius in order to use their powers for their own ends; they especially want Jane's power of the Fire.

At Ahalla, the three teenagers learn about the Vampire Queen, the ruler of the Vampires and about the Dark God, their creator and the true ruling power, and who mysteriously disappeared from the Universe as a result of the Shockwave, the Shockwave that was generated by the Impossible Child. Elaeus has brought Khalan, Jane and Khaius to Ahalla because he wants to keep them safe from the Vampires, yet he's only too aware that a future meeting with the enemy back in their own Universe is inevitable.

That meeting is about to arrive sooner than Elaeus expected and much sooner than he'd hoped. Having made a brief return to their own Universe, Khalan is on his way to Alasa and heading to his first meeting and clash with the Spider Lord...
