Christmas jumpers
Writing festive books is one of the best parts of my job, but it had been a couple of years since I’d published one set at Christmas because of other projects and deadlines. I’d been itching to set one under the northern lights of Lapland because of the stunning location and it being known as the home of Christmas. As soon as I pulled up a page about Lapland and saw the soulful eyes of reindeer I was hooked. If I could have flown there to personally research the place, I would have. When I read about Eukonkanto, a wife-carrying competition, I knew the place was ripe for some fun, light-hearted scenes. Finland has also been voted the world’s happiest country a few years in a row, so I was determined to find out why.
