- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I pick up the book because of the funny picture of the cover. A boy and a girl are being run after by an angry rhino. The air from the rhino’s nose pushes the two children to go up. They look very scared and open their eyes widely. The picture is full of imagination. When I read the title about how to survive, I think it is a serious topic. But after looking through the whole book, I cannot help laughing. The author uses humour language to give concise instructions accompanied by detailed but clear illustrations of the required physical action to survive each situation. The scope of the book covers advice on how to fend off a Shark, how to escape from a Mountain Lion, how to go to the bathroom in the woods and so on. Although some of these situations look very ridiculous, I am still curious about the solutions and gain lots of survival knowledge. This book is a fascinating read, a very novel idea, and as the authors say, "you just never know."
